Great product
Boy, do I love these planting rings. I don't have a drip or sprinkler system in my veggie garden yet, so I have to hand water my plants. This year I placed a tomato start plant in each ring in my raised garden bed. It made hand watering so easy. I simply filled each ring with water and didn't have to worry if I watered each plant enough. I had a very successful tomato crop. I'm definitely buying more of these plant rings to use around my other veggie garden plants next spring/summer.

Expensive and requires a lot of work
I admit that I didn't think this purchase through when buying these. I needed a way to water my new trees & protect them from the weed eater. What I didn't anticipate is the amount of work I would need to do to "install" these. I also anticipated it to hold water. These are essentially plastic (nice, durable plastic) borders for your trees. That is it. The "teeth" at the bottom don't do anything. You must do a lot of digging (I bought 40 of these things) to set these into the ground and since there's no bottom, the water goes right through. These don't hold water as I thought they would. I would not repurchase them and would do a water bag instead for the watering aspect. You could replicate these by buying plastic flower pots and cutting out the bottom. These are durable though, so that's why I rated 4 stars.

Saved my Azaleas
Great product. Provides important protection at base of new shrubs, plants and trees. Very well made, sturdy and long-lasting. Can be opened and refastened for placing around existing tree trunks. Provides a well for mulch and holding water. Well worth the price. AND made in America.

Great product, albeit expensive. Keeps the water where it should be.

Measurement was 1 inch shorter than advertised
Disappointed that the measurement was not 16" round. It measured 15" round. A whole inch shorter. The inside width was 12" which was expected, but did not expect the outside to be short by 1 inch. I wanted the look of the extra inch which I purchased for my landscaping project. I purchased bulk in six, 16" rounds for $99.00, but lost 6 inches of product in total. I will surmise this will be the same outcome in all the sizes. So buyer, beware if the esthetic look is key to the outside dimensions of your landscape project with this item. I will keep them, but I have to do some "gymnastics" for the look I want to achieve.

Perfect solution for water retention/ but expensive
Love them, order 4x ( 3x 16” and 1x24” ) and planning to order more. Really good build , saw edge in the bottom which really helps to dig it in the soil. Easy to install too , as compare to other alternative available locally, such as clay based ring edge from HD or Lowe’s. Clay based are heavy and fall on side if not secure properly Only wish that these could be bit cheaper ( when comparing with clay based). For 16” price should be around $10 and for 24” it should be $14.
