I have three Indian Runner Ducks and so I bought the small one since it holds up to 25 pounds. Easy to put together. Yes, it had a few chips but that's normal. There was no major damage. I picked this house because of three reasons: the top opens up for easily egg collection, it had a small window which I can open for air flow and close if to cold, and the floor comes up in two pieces for easy cleaning. Because the floor is like a privacy fence lets good air flow its great during the summer. My ducks can stand really cold weather, they swim in the winter so it works great because ducks need air flow since they build up a lot of moisture but you wouldnt leave any other kind of pet out during the winter because they won't still warm enough. Came with door flap but I don't use it.

Bought this for my tortoise and it works great. It's just the right size and was really easy to build. Installed a heat lamp to keep her warm for the winter. I'm so happy that she now has a safe, warm and dry place to stay out of the weather.

This is a very nice house for the feral cat in our neighborhood. My problem is the hinges for lifting the roof and holding it up are bending and I need replacements. Made of very inferior quality. Can I get them from your company or can you suggest where I can get them. D Timke Porterfield, WI

Very happy with our purchase. Probably only took about 30 mins or so to put together. Instructions are basic but so is the assembly. Seemed well packaged and ours had no damage. Although the wood is thin it does look nice. However, the thin wood means it is much easier to move around, even one person could push it around due to the easy slide feet at the bottom. As others have said, warmth can be improved by adding sheet insulation you can buy at your local hardware store. Regardless, the only gaps in the wood is the slats in the floor, which is by design. The sides and roof appear to seal nicely. Plus you can't beat the window, which is the main reason we selected this one over similar models. The window allows us to see if the dog is in the dog house without actually disturbing her. Win win.

Pretty flimsy so not sure how long it will last - the hardware (hinges) are very thin - I may replace them with something from my local hardware store that's a little more robust.

Saw this and thought perfect for my tortoises because the burrow we built flooded first time it rained. My tortoise love it. Keeps them dry from the rain, away from heating the sun and I’ll keep you posted for in the winter (as I do plan to as insulation for them for the winter along with a thermometer to keep tabs on temp and a camera). But so far, it’s working great as I can lift the top to get to them if need be. And they are happy.

This review is for the small dog house only. I am still waiting to get to return the 2 large dog houses because my dogs need a sturdier dog house. The wood is thinner than anticipated and they will eat through it in a week. The small one is good for our little dog for moderate to warm weather with the open spaced slats, the window conversion, and the lifting lid. However, in the 20 degree and below weather, it will not keep him warm unless we insulate it under it to cover the opening in the floor slats.

Received dog house, box in good condition. The roof frame was cracked along the entire width, the bottom of one of the side panels was completely broken off, and the clear weather flap for the enterance was dirty with what appeared to be glue residue and styrofoam packing, Wood is lightweight but would have probably been okay if it wasn't so damaged, very disappointing.
