All of Chef Malgieri's books are instructive gems and this one is no different.

Mr. Malgieri is one heckuva top-notch baker...have had the opportunity in the past, to watch/meet him during a demonstration, when he was touring for his book 'Perfect Cakes'. As exhausted as he was, he not only put on a fabulous baking demonstration, but, was also kind enough to spend time talking to the group, and working out 'baking problems'. Quite the gentleman!

Found several treasures that I would not have thought of trying before. Love the stories about the history of the recipe and traditions as well.Not been disappointed! Every one is easy to follow and delicious

Great book,Mr Malgieri’s books always have great advices.

This book lack of illustrations. No images representing the step by step in the recipe. It’s just a compilation of recipes without additional information about the history of the cakes or cultural data about these baked goods.

The recipes that I have made were excellent. I love this cookbook. Recommend highly.

I made 6 of the recipes in this book. Some are very simple cakes that I wouldn't serve for a dinner but maybe a luncheon. They can be a little tricky if you aren't an experienced baker. Stay away from the cheesecake recipe though .... it was so over laden that one bite makes you feel sick.
