Used hyularonic acid lotion for years and it is starting to dry my skin with age change. I am currently doing a Retinol-A purge of my dry skin from winter....Northeast girl. Every "gentle" lotiin I have tried burnt really bad and wasn't working. Read a lot about DE Marula oil. Particularly applying before using Retin A at night and using it again in the morning after washing the R-a off. I was a little nervous about using an oil. Im obsessed with my pores. I was impressed at how quickly it absorbed and quenched the dry flaking skin instantly before make up application. My skin looks amazing with the combined DE Marula oil and R-a. No break outs and pores look great. I love a luxurious smell and other marula oil products I use have that light tropical smell. This oil has no smell. Which isnt a bad thing. I just like a good smell. A bit on the pricey side but it takes very little. I only do R-a purge at the beginning and end of summer once I am done with sun. But I think I will continue to use during the summer to help heal from sun exposure so I will add to this review after summer. As I said it's a little pricey but it works so well to me that it is worth the money. I like the idea of not using a ton of products on my skin and this will save me on all the stuff I try and end up not working. Thinking of trying some of their other products. I really recommend this product. Esp. if you use Retin A or just have dry skin in general.

A savior for my cranky dry skin. I haven’t found anything like it. It’s a perfect thickness so it lasts all night but doesn’t feel like I’m suffocating my face.

I'm surprised. I have never been one to use face products at all. I have extremely sensitive skin, and resting my hands on my face can cause a week-long breakout, even at 44 years old. I've used Ivory bar soap in the shower to wash my face, and that was the end of my facial routine. Years of this has left my face dull, rough and DRY, but I was willing to accept this as long as no breakouts. So now I tried a new routine. Full disclosure... I'm also using DERMA E Fragrance Free Sensitive Skin Cleanser in the shower.... but I am using this DE Marula Oil after shower. I just love it. It goes onto my face smoothly, it is not overly oily. It does rest on top of my skin for about 20 mins or so, but then seems to disappear into my skin with little to no shine. It has made my face so soft and younger looking. No more ugly flaking forehead. No more dry, cracking crow's feet under my eyes. My original wrinkles are still present (probably only noticable to me) but the lines have definitely softened, and I've only been using this about 3 weeks. And best of all, I'm getting these benefits with NO BREAKOUTS! This has made me very curious about the entire DE line of products, which harbors bad news for my wallet, but potentially GREAT news for my skin! If you are on the fence, I would encourage you to try it. I have used it both during the day and at night before bed. Same great results.

Love everything about this oil. I normally hate oil on my face, but this stuff absorbs pretty quickly! And you only need a drop or 2 for your entire face. After using this at night, I woke up the next day and my face had such a healthy feeling. I can’t even describe it. It felt so soft and supple. I’ll only use this twice a week since I don’t have extremely dry skin. But it’s well worth the investment. Just a tip to save you money...if you use the entire drunk elephant line, don’t waste your money on this! Every single product contains Marula Oil. So you’re getting the exact affect by using their other products.

It’s a good thing this luxury marula oil is multi-purpose or I would have wasted my money. I decided to get the smaller version of this since I was skeptical of how this would work with my oily acne prone skin. But a friend of mine who also loves skin care is currently obsessed with this, so I decided to try it out. I tried incorporating this into my skincare at the end to look everything in. It’s very thin in consistency, but in my opinion, doesn’t absorb as fast as everyone says it does. I feel it did break me out a bit when I used it this way, so I stopped using it for my face. But marula oil can be multi-purpose which is what I love about this. I use it for dry patches anywhere—spots on my face, neck, chest, body. Sometimes my ears get dry because they are probably sensitive to my thick hair, so I use this at the end of the day to moisturize my ears. I use a burts bees hand cream at night that I love but it’s super thick. I’ve been adding 2-3 drops of this to the cream each night and it makes it so much easier to spread over my hands and cuticles. I already have a lot of special treatments and serums going on in my skincare, but I may try adding some of this oil to my night cream when I stop using certain products.
