Excellent choice for ice hockey face protection and visibility
After years of wearing a full cage I switched to this hybrid mask and it's been a game changer! It is durable, standing up to a lot of pucks and high sticks. The visibility is exceptional, I feel safe on the ice, and most importantly it DOES NOT FOG. Fits standard hockey helmets and is very easy to install.

I was impressed
After a lot of researching and being a little skeptical, I purchased this. I have used it once for sticks and pucks for about 1.5 hours, it never fogged up, my glasses did though a little if I stood still a bit. I did buy the anti fog spit spray but never used it. I wanted to try it for the first time without any sprays. It was way better then a cage, and as long as it doesn’t be a problem with fogging up, I will continue to be an advocate for this product, even over the more expensive Bauer model. I did attach it to my Bauer IMS 5.0 Medium. The only thing is that the sides don’t really go into the mounted slots which are mounted on the sides of the helmet. Not a big deal for me, since I’m 35 and just learning how to play. I also installed the Bauer chin strap From my cage and put it up an extra bar on this mask.

Decent product and price, but sizing isn't perfect
It's heavy, so it pulls the helmet (I have the Bauer Reakt) down (I replaced by Medium III face cage with this Tron shield). It's longer that the original, so the weight of the cage/shield bumps my throat (which doesn't bother me since I wear a throad guard--but I assume can get really annoying if you didn't wear one). It's wide compared to my helmet width and the attachment hardware doesn't align parallel with the temple curves of the helmet. I had to force a perfect fit by pulling all straps tightly. The plastic attachments feel cheap. Since I have to pull the helmet back, the shield doesn't cover the majority of my upper visual field, so I can see grid lines when I look down. I expected more visual shield coverage (or perhaps a different shield shape). Overall, I have yet to see how this new cage-shield will hold up in different rinks over time. I assume it will be decently anti-fog. I'm glad to try it out at this price and am willing to put up some sizing (meh let-downs) in order to have a decent upper field of vision when playing.

Good quality for the price
I used half visors for at least 20 years but after getting hit in the face for the third time this season I took the universe's hint and decided on full face gear before my teeth are next. Knew I didn't want a full cage but also like the airflow they give. The CCM version of this type of helmet was on backorder everywhere so I rolled the dice. Haven't had any fog issues at all and was surprised it doesn't effect me at all. I haven't personally had an issue with the clips that are noted throughout but I am also the d-bag that doesn't unclip it and just pulls it on and off by the chin of the cage leaving the helmet just loose enough to do that. The combo itself is surprisingly good so even if clips break it's still well worth it if you have some extra to keep in your bag.

Breaks easily
Top clip broke before I even tightened it down. The edge of the plastic was extremely rough on that side where the clip goes and it was enough to break the clip. Spare parts from company are nonexistent and on Tron’s own website they list AR for spare parts. One of the chin strap snap clips also broke before I even got on the ice. My helmet was new so it was wrapped in two jerseys and placed inside ice hockey pants and the chin strap snap clip still broke in half somehow. The visor itself is good for fogging and clarity but the plastic pieces are cheap as you could possibly find. Not worth the money at even half the price. Bauer was same price. I regret my decision to go with Tron. I won’t be purchasing anything from this company again. Lesson learned

You might want to pony up for name brand mask
The quality of the shield was alright but I had 2 problems with it: 1. It didn’t really fit that well on a Bauer sr. Large size helmet (I had to force it in place) 2. The straps on mine wouldn’t hold in place. A slight tug and the straps would slide right through the holders which would cause the cage to sit improperly on your face. You could clip it in and then pull it right up with very little force. I sent mine back and am ordering a Bauer face shield

Great fit, excellent value!
No issues with the included hardware, have skated with it a number of times and purposely did not spray with anti fog and the visor has stayed fog free. Excellent value for the money

Good enough
Just tried this out in a game. No fogging issue, easy to breath and drink through. Way better than a cage. No reflection or distortion issues. Snaps are sort of cheap feeling, but those are easy to replace when the time comes. Great upgrade for the price.

I replaced a half-shield with this one after I got hit in the mouth by a puck. It's a great shield and never fogs up, probably due to the metal grate at the bottom.

The face shield is good quality and feels strong. It fit my Bauer helmet (senior size) very well. The only complaint are the buckles or snaps that are on the straps broke first click. They cracked into pieces. Good thing I had my original Bauer ones to replace them.

I was skeptical, but seems excellent so far. One use, no issues with fogging up. No major distortion. Still have to get used to the restricted view close to feet but way better than a cage for sight. Way better airflow than a full face visor.

If your playing just a slower pace rec league or pickup it is great, it provides some protection and opens up your vision. You’ll definitely want some anti-fog spray, it doesn’t fog up like a full plastic one might but it still does. If you’re a bit more advanced I would maybe look for a stronger piece or stick with a cage. I got railed in the face with a puck and the visor just exploded.. absolutely shattered. It took the hit I’ll give it that but she’s toast.

Product is terrible went to screw it on my helmet and clips broke immediately. Than went to button it into the helmet and those clips both broke. Trash
