Quality, Innovative at bargain price
Using outdoors to connect a heated birdbath to outdoor socket. Needed a flat fitting in order to close the waterproof socket door. Having the plug rotate 360 degrees was a life saver in order to fit the wire out of the waterproof covering. Well made at an excellent price

Great product.
This is extremely heavy duty. It took me a while to uncoil it. I am running it from my house to my RV which is 95 feet away and so far is working fantastic. I originally had a 12 AWG cord but that was not strong enough to keep the RV battery charged.

Rugged
I got this for my electric lawn mower. It is long enough to reach my very long lawn (I live on a corner lot), and very durable. While I don't leave my cords out in the rain (or snow; this works for snow blowers), it is waterproof. You need a cord like this for heavy equipment. I like the color; it makes it less likely I'll run over the cord!

Bought two, had them for a year, and still going strong
We use these for power tools over long distances (we have a big yard). These have held up well and we like the lit-up ends to confirm power. We have a couple of outlets that rodents ruined and spent a lot of time thinking the tool or a fuse was the problem. We can instantly see that the power is being supplied through the cord, which helps save time when figuring out why something isn't working. The only caution I would mention is these cords are heavy. Managing them can be a trial. They are stiff, so winding them back up can be a real workout. Not a criticism, it's just that what a long 12-gauge cord is going to be like, along with the sticker shock. Copper is so expensive now! Note, that we tried 14-gauge cords, but the current draw for some of the tools was too great and they did not last. If you are powering tools over a long distance, I definitely recommend 12-gauge. A lot of tools will even have a chart indicating the gauge cord you need over what distance. Follow those recommendations!

This is a great power cord for a number of reasons. The 360 degree spinning male end allows you to use a socket and free up the other so it doesn't get blocked which is the whole point. I did find that it doesn't rotate super smooth, but it does rotate, I would recommend whoever gets it not to put too much torque when trying to rotate it. If it isn't rotating, change your method or angle and ensure you are just rotating the cable and not putting torque on the plugs. The cable shielding is top of the line and thick, great for Canadian climates (especially the winters). And I think all extension cables should have this last feature, which is a small light in the female end, so that you know it is powered. I personally only get extensions with this feature now, it is so necessary. You don't want to plug your car in overnight with temps getting to -30 or worse, then having to deal with a frozen car only because there was a problem with the power socket or cable not delivering power. That simple feature eliminates that headache. Overall, a stellar extension cable!

ITEM REVIEWED : GEARit 360 Rotating Plug Indoor Outdoor Extension Cord Waterproof 10ft - 16 Gauge 163 ____________________________________________________________________________________________ I've got a number of extension cords. Now a days I find you can never have enough extension cords. You end up using one extension cord for a "temporary project" and it ends up staying there ...and thus you need another extension cord! ... proving again Rick's Law: "Nothing is more permanent than something done temporarily". This cord is very well made. The rotating plug makes it easier to route the cord where you want it. Even better for those "permanent" jobs needing to plug in behind a bookcase (or other furniture) this type of plug is real handy!. This type of plug greatly minimizes the space it takes to plug into the outlet. I recommended a longer version of this cord for my neighbor who uses an electric (110VAC) lawn mower to cut his grass when he said he needed a new extension cord for it. This should work great for that (the 16 gauge will handle the high current it needs). PLUS I'm buying for myself another slightly longer version to replace the 15 foot extension cord I use to power my TV... that way I'll be able to move the book case in front of the (blocked) outlet noticeably closer to the wall. I want the 16 gauge size that this cord uses because at the TV end I have a multi power bar and plug in all my entertainment stuff all at the same time,,, not just the TV ! So this 16 gauge extension cord will handle that without getting warm! In my opinion a fantastic cord for a comparable price that you would pay at most big box stores. AND fantastic that you can select close to the length you need - so your cord won't be too short... or too long! ____________________________________________________________________________________________ * NOTE * - This product was provided to me FREE of charge as part of the Amazon Vine Review program without any conditions ... other than that I must submit a review within 30 days of receipt. As you can imagine, the first thing I did after pulling it out of the bag was test the rotating head, and it's much stiffer than I anticipated. In fact I barely managed it by hand without bending the prongs; so the better way was to plug it in and use the prongs as anchors. In a way I suppose it's kind of a plus since you don't want the head rotating on you while you're working, but just be aware that you'll need to adjust the angle before plugging it into any device. Definitely a big fan of the build quality. It's heavy - heavier than any cord I currently use in my garage - and the insulation around the wire is nice and thick. It's also a bit stiffer which can go either way depending on your needs, and there's only a single terminal plug. Makes sense since it's rated for 13A @ 125V. Nothing beyond 1625W though, which is pushing the capacity of most 1500W shop-vacs, and might not even reach some hair dryers. So it's really only slightly above average when it comes to the specs. Fortunately, I specifically got it because I have a few horizontally mounted surge protectors in the garage so I needed a flat plug that could rotate around the entire area. Can't say that I can pull on the cord and force it into a direction while working, but at least it does the job and puts less stress on the internal wiring than a traditional in-line plug. After adjusting it into position that is. Really though, the coolest bit isn't the rotating head, but the LEDs on the other terminal end. They basically act as an indicator that you have a positive current, and assist in finding the end in low light conditions. I usually wear a headlamp when working in or outdoors in the dark anyway so it wasn't a massive selling point for me, but it's actually pretty cool to see at a distance. Overall, besides the stiff head, it's pretty much exactly what I was hoping for. Works well, doesn't heat up and the unique ends give it an edge over most standard extension cords. A solid piece of kit.
