A review of two similar collars.
I have not reviewed anything I’ve purchased the day I received it before, and this is a review of two collars of which I wasn’t sure would be different based on the sales photos. They are the Dynmeow (grey) in large for $11.99 USD and the Black Rhino (blue), also in large for $19.95 USD.Based on looks of the product photos, what was I going to be getting with the Black Rhino for an $8 difference (or nearly twice the price)? With the Dynmeow, which is stated to be made in China (Americans don’t work cheap, get over it.) has a more stiff collar, the adjustment holes are more aligned (see photos) but look to be coming undone straight out of the package. The metal buckle is a lighter/thinner gauge metal and not as rounded/smooth and the padded neoprene is very thin compared to the Black Rhino. The Dynmeow has much wider and visible reflective stitching but the stitching in general looks to be better on the Black Rhino.Having thicker neoprene and a less rigid collar, I decided to keep the more expensive Back Rhino. Although I’m paralyzed and only have one arm, putting it on him and buckling it up was quite simple (34 years practice). Plus he minds well. I only put this because in reading the reviews, some complain about the buckle being difficult if you take the collar off and on often (who does that?).I was concerned about the buckle rotating under his neck, defeating the neoprene padding design. While it looks tight and in its new state, I can easily slide four fingers under the collar and the buckle stays on the back of his neck which is also where the D-ring is for a leash.Without the use of the clip I have for his tags, the design of the plastic tag holder is impossible (for me) to use with just a ring. I think it would stretch the ring a lot as well due to the width of the plastic tag holder. It’s positioned more towards his left side and the plastic part is held on by a pretty thin loop of material. I’m hoping it doesn’t rip off. Probably the only poor design element of the collar. I am also curious to see how the neoprene holds up during any scratching. Looks easy to tear. His Blueberry branded collar (also in the photos if Amazon allows the amount of photos I took) is a bit stiff too, and has been replaced once due to a crack in the plastic clasp. So the metal buckle gives me some added comfort for the rare moments he decides to pull a bit and the neoprene should help where the plastic rubs him a bit raw.As I said, I think both collars are probably made in China but the Black Rhino does boast that it’s been designed in the USA (for those feeling the need to be patriotic <rolls eyes>).I tried to give good photo comparisons and hope I can upload them all. While I do not know how the neoprene will hold up, I do feel that the Black Rhino is worth the extra $8 over the Dynmeow collar. Plus there’s only 66 reviews for the Dynmeow and 16K plus for the Black Rhino, for whatever that’s worth.I hope this helps someone.

comfortable for our little dog
Our little dog has difficulty with harnesses and collars. He is quite happy with this one and it is cushy and soft to the touch where the collar touches the fur. I cannot state to it durability as we have just purchased it but it is well made. Mary H

It works
My previous dog collar was always loosening up or getting stuck. My dog trainer said to get a collar with a buckle not the kind that clips. This works perfectly and cushion enough for my giant puppy.

Really premium dog collar
Bought 3 of these for each of my 3 dogs. They were all do for a collar upgrade after wearing out their previous collars over the course of the past few years. Did a bunch of research and landed on these collars and one other company. Ordered both collars to compare. I elected to keep the Black Rhino collars as I thought they were a more premium collar, despite the fact that they are significantly more expensive than most other collars of this type.Collars seem durable and well made. Plenty of padding so the dogs should be comfortable, but they tend to be on the thicker side of other collars I’ve used. They fit my two Labradoodles great. Both are around 55 pounds and wear a medium with plenty of adjustment room. My Frenchie, however, also needed a medium due to his girthy neck size. Unfortunately, it’s a bit thick on him since I think the medium size collar is generally intended to be on a larger dog. It’s not too big where he can’t wear it, but I preferred the width of the small, it was just too short for him.My only real complaint is how large the branding is. While I appreciate a companies branding on their product, not only is the logo large on these collars, it’s typically a contrasting color that really makes it stand out. I don’t know…I just prefer something more minimal but that’s really a minor complaint.Anyway, great collars and would recommend.

Great collars!
All three of my boys wear these collars. I have to replace them every couple of years but considering how active my boys are it's amazing they hold up that long! They are soft and look more comfortable than just a standard collar. Only collars I buy now.

Great collar
Love this collar very well made and great color options. I bought a medium since my pups neck measured at 17" but it's been a month or so and it's a little tight now. I should of went with a large

Brilliant collar
I have spent so much on collars over the last 4 years of owning my labrador getting a large strong comfortable collar for a large dog hasn't been easy but I think I found the perfect collar for my boy it's soft comfortable strong it has a buckle fastening which is so much better than a plastic push together clip which can undo under certain circumstances. It looks great too so many colours to choose from it took a while to get here so I think it probably came from USA I would definitely purchase this collar again and do recommend I got the the largest size for my labrador but he does have a large thick neck

Bought for my 6 month old Labrador
Bought this for my 6 month old Labrador.. Its appears to be a comfy collar (not tried it personally 😂😂) the padding is a great thing for a dog that pulls its a lot safer and he's not choking, he does have a harness for walks but sometimes I need to grab his collar when over exited dogs come over to Charlie and c g arlie getting exited on his lead not a good match.Yes I would recommend this. Charlie is 6 months and it's on the first (tightest) so will last him well into his adult life. Yes I recommend

Easily the best collar we've ever bought
Easily the best collar we've bought for our black lab. Really well made with strong webbing, buckle, reinforced holes and well placed loops to hold the extra length past the buckle, with strongly inserted metal loop for lead attachment, and a small one opposite for ID tag. Has padded interior for comfort and wide for security and safety if your dog has tendency to pull. Have had issues with leather collars stretching in the past but this would not be an issue here. Importantly the dog is happy to wear this with no discomfort and it looks good with the flash of padding colour showing around the edges. Would certainly recommend this. Its well made so can see it lasting for years but will certainly get another when the time comes for a replacement.

Comfortable, and fits well
Old collar was rubbing on my German Shepherd's neck - this one doesn't. Fits well, and is solid. My GSD can pull hard at times - not a problem with this collar.Only reason for marking Durability as 4* rather than 5* is that the metal rim around the hole the buckle prong fits into distorted slightly after a while - only a minor issue though. The collar is well constructed, easy to put on, and comfortable. Happy to recommend this item.

Well made but sizes are an issue :(
We’ll made but with size issues. Purchased a large for a Weimaraner and a medium for a Vizsla after measuring both dogs. The sizes are inappropriate for both our dogs. The collars both fit but not something I would have purchased or recommend. The large is too large and the medium is too small. Previous reviews have highlighted this sizing issue with excess collar flapping about for large or as is the case for the medium….not enough collar! We wouldn’t recommend.
