Woodwick Ellipse Scented Candle with Crackling Wick, White Tea and Jasmine

i have ordered these before and loved them, however this last batch that I bought *** has no scent ***.....they burn great but you have no scent. i switched to the trilogy and they smell great.

Liked the scent, liked the sound , but why so much more money than most other candles?

This is a first for me from this brand, a sister company from the group that brings us YANKEE CANDLE®.It was hard to light the X-shaped wick the first time, then it was a bit wild, so I quickly had to adjust the height of the wick as advised in the enclosed instructions, once it had cooled down.When lit, it is a nicely subdued ‘posh tea’ fragrance that dominates, to my nose, and scents the whole room.The ‘crackling’ from the wood-wick is soothing to me, taking me back in time to toast and marshmallows by the fire after a cool evening walk.If any of the wick breaks away when lit, there can be a bit of swirly smoke, as also happens when the flame is extinguished (image below refers), although, I find, that the smoke soon disperses.To prevent too deep a well developing, I tend to gently circle the jar at an angle when the wax is still liquid (& the flame is out). There is a yellowy tinge to the settled wax.In my environment, it burns evenly right down, with very little left. The media could not be loaded.  Aussehen und Duft sind gut, damit gibt es bei mir keine Probleme. Aber der Lärm! Na klar weiß ich das die Kerze knistern soll, deswegen habe ich sie auch gekauft. Aber ich habe noch kein Kaminfeuer (womit die Kerze ja immer verglichen wird) gehört das so einen Lärm gemacht hat. Der Ton hat auch was von einem Miniatur-Maschinengewehr finde ich... Kann sein dass es auf dem Video nicht so rüber kommt, aber die Kerze ist wirklich laut. Vielleicht sind die kleineren Kerzen angenehmer aber ich werde mir bei dem Preis nicht die Mühe machen das rauszufinden.

Ich habe dieses Produkt während einer Rabattaktion am Prime Day bestellt.Der Versand erfolgte wie gewohnt schnell und zuverlässig. Die Verpackung war solide und unbeschädigt.Leider erfuhr ich dann beim Auspacken die böse Überraschung, denn die Duftkerze ist leider eine totale Fehlproduktion.Das Kerzenwachs ist auf der einen Seite völlig verklumt und bis oben zum Rand eingefüllt, während sich auf der anderen Seite gar kein Wachs befindet. Der Docht ist dabei komplett ins Wachs eingeschlossen und nur zu erahnen, wenn man sie gegens Licht hält.Die Kerze ist somit völlig unbrauchbar.Über den Duft der Kerze kann ich keine Angaben machen, da der Deckel so mit dem Wachs verschmolzen war, das sich die Kerze nicht ohne Gewalt öffnen ließ.Der Holzdeckel war darüber hinaus an der Oberseite beim Logo ziemlich zerkratzt, was wohl schon vor dem Versand passiert sein muss, da die Verpackung einwandfrei war.Alles in allem sehr enttäuschend. Ein Umtausch war leider auch nicht möglich.

My Cinnamon Chai is hilarious. It whines! It crackles and then out of nowhere it starts this whiny noise, and its the funniest thing ever. Its not the whole time, just certain moments, but it seems to time them perfectly. I dont think Ive ever had a candle like this one. Love it. Smell is nice too, very christmassy, if left for too long the smell gets overpowering, but a couple of hours is quite alright. The medium one I got I think Ill still be using next christmas. Good value for the price.

At the beginning I really loved this can candle, it smells great, immediately fills the house with fantastic, strong yet not over dominant smell, the crackling noise being a great add on. The product itself looks lovely, in a nice sturdy glass container with elegant wooden lid.However for what it is (a candle) it's quite pricey, however I like good quality products and was happy to pay it providing results met my expectations.Unfortunately the above was true for 2/3 of the overall candle lifecycle, the remaining 1/3 turned nasty, greyish colour and is barley burning, I expect I'll won't be able to use it for much longer which is a clear waste and puts all the value for money under question mark.Pictures for evidence.
