I have been making pure vanilla myself from Madagascar vanilla beans, which I understand are the better beans for making your own. It's easy............I use vodka at least 80% proof then put in the beans then wait a few weeks, shake every few days. It's supposed to be cheaper, at least healthier than the imitation. Cook's has wonderful beans that smell heavenly.

I purchased my first order last year to make vanilla extract. It turned out so rich and delicious! I purchased again this year because I will never go back to store vanilla. These are great quality beans that you need to try! They are plump, large and very flavorful.

I purchased these to make both vanilla extract, and vanilla body oil. A natural vanilla scent is what I’m always on the hunt for when it comes to perfumes or body products, and I got sick of wasting money on things after having people say things like, “smells just like sticking your nose in a vanilla pod”, or “smells just like vanilla extract”, only to have the product smell like aromachemical stench. Making my own body oil is the simplest solution. These work great for that purpose. Both my vanilla body oil and extract come out great with these. These come vacuum sealed at a reasonable price. I purchased twice already, and will continue to do so.

I didnt expect such moist fresh and great smelling/tasting bean pods. I will definitely be reordering larger amount after "test" purchase of smaller pack. Best grade A ive gotten yet.

Decent beans. A bit thin, but moist and fresh. Most were 6" in length. They were vacuum packed with 14 months before expiration / use in bottling. Could smell them before I even opened the package. Only complaint is the package was a bit light and weight isn't shown. 10 beans (without the plastic packaging) weighed 31g / 1.09oz before I trimmed off the ends. That's still not a bad deal if you're only making one 8oz bottle of vanilla extract.

I have ordered these vanilla beans several times. Excellent for making vanilla extract and also vanilla sugar for baking. Good quality.

Very moist, great color, great size and quality is good. Easy to cut into. Making vanilla extract so will update in April when it is done
