Perfect for small bird baths.
My wife wanted this for a small bird bath she was setting up for hummingbirds. They prefer a gentle shower and this unit is perfect. It has a nice flow without being overly aggressive. It comes with several different nozzles, each giving a different spray pattern. It must be in direct sun in order to operate, but even once the sun has gone over it still continues to work for quite a while, just not as strongly. It was easy to put together. It’s a nice little unit for a surprisingly reasonable price. Because there is no place in our yard that has full sun, it only works part of the time. This is no fault of the unit in any way. There is a large maple in the yard to the east of us, another to the west, three more large maples at the southern edge of our lot and three very tall fruit trees in our yard. There is no spot in the entire yard that receives direct sunlight for more than 4-5 hours. Take this into consideration before you choose any solar unit. Watch the sun over the course of the day. If you have enough direct sun, this unit will be great. I am not subtracting any stars from this review, as our problem is not the fault of the unit, but ours for failing to take neighboring trees into consideration. When it has the direct sun it runs at full capacity, when it doesn’t it still runs, but not quite as strongly. On a recent heavily hazy and overcast day, it started later in the morning and only ran at about half the height it is capable of, but it was still pretty awesome. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to add sound and motion to a bird bath. I am including a picture of it running in direct sunlight and another with the same nozzle on the hazy, overcast day so you can see how it performs. There’s still plenty of motion, water drops and sparkling sounds to keep the birds happy. We solved our problem by purchasing another bird bath and another bubbler to place on the opposite side of the yard. One starts earlier than the other, one runs later and during the day they both run for a while.

Great little solar water feature
Works immediately out of the once submerged fully and in the sun. Will not work if there is not full sun (shadows, debris, overcast, or shade impedes it completely). There are many adapters for different water flow capabilities. I suggest attaching suction cups to the bottom if you want it stationary. Otherwise it will float and be mobile which is fine if you want it to do that or if it's being used in a smaller feature. The attached tube and brackets enclosed for this purpose (to keep it in place) are an eyesore, but you do not have to use. You can also leave off all the adapters and water will just bubble out of the top very low. Pump seems durable and capable upon first use. The solar panels will actually determine the longevity of use. Price is about a 1/3 of what a corded pump what be, so take that into consideration. It's perfect, though, if you do not want an unsightly cord or want to put this somewhere where's there no power outlet and hours of full sun. It will obviously not work at night.

Does work well at all. Cheaply made etc,
This was a waste of money completely. But when you buy cheap that is what you get.

Twice+ daily refills required
This pump definitely has its pros & cons. The pros are that it's inexpensive, and really pumps the water through it creating at times at least a 16-18" high stream of water. The cons are that if there is no sun, it doesn't work. It doesn't retain power that it can use later. If it's cloudy sometimes I will get intermittent bursts of water which isn't a bad thing, or none at all which is. One other con is that when it's really sunny out that fountain is powerful. So much so that it spews the water right out of the birdbath & onto the ground. What this means for me is that if I want my fountain going all day I have to refill it 2-4 times a day depending on just how sunny it is. If you don't mind refilling a few times a day on a sunny day, this is an inexpensive fountain that actually works.

Ummm no thank you
So this product does work, but it doesn’t work well. You HAVE TO have the whole solar panel in the sun for it to work; not 99% but 100% sun. Super frustrating because it will quit working immediately if a shadow or brief shade crosses the solar panel. The motor is loud too. I stopped using this product about one week after I started using it.

Worked great but died in 10 weeks
Update: 07/23/23 The pump was great while it worked. However, 10 weeks after receiving it, it failed and would no longer work. I don't know if the solar panel failed or the pump itself died. I haven't taken it apart to diagnose the problem. It was never run on an empty birdbath and I would clean it on a weekly basis. I would flip it over when it was out of the water so it wasn't facing the sun to prevent the motor from running without any water. One evening it stopped when the sun went down and the next morning it wouldn't start up. I've now bought a different pump that has the panel separate from the pump so that the panel isn't submerged. Let's see how long that lasts. This pump includes stabilizing straws that keep it centered in the birdbath that I bought with it. Also, one of the included nozzles sprays water horizontally which keeps the water in the birdbath. The ones that spray the water vertically end up splashing the water outside the bath and the water gets drained in 2 ~ 3 hours. With the horizontal nozzle, the water stays for up to 3 days. The pump does stop working when it's no longer in direct sunlight even if it's bright daylight and the sun is shining in other portions of the backyard. It works for 6 ~ 7 hours continuously depending on how you place it.

This is a cute fun outdoor fountain
This is the second year that I’ve purchased an outdoor solar fountain. It needs to be fully charged by the sun before working. No batteries needed. It has a set of different nozzles that you can use to adjust the height of the spray. Needs to be cleaned occasionally. Comes with plastic sticks to help keep in one floating position. Or you can let it float around. You do need to continuously add water if you want the fountain to work. It will only work when the sun is on it. It doesn’t work best if it’s a shady day. I’ve enjoyed this and had many compliments. The water flow is a nice stream. It’s very durable. Looks wonderful. Easy to assemble.

Bought this for my birdbath - as others have noted, it definitely needs direct sun to work. I take it in over the winter and it has survived 3 years so far. The thing I am most impressed with is that the crows have taken to flinging it out of the bird bath (or flipping it over, or pecking out the filter sponge) - it has survived a number of drops onto the brick patio. Little birds aren't afraid of it and enjoy splashing about. I don't use the spray nozzles with it as it goes too high and empties my birdbath...

average product, only works under direct strong sun

Solar powered so we should be good for the next four billion years. Does operate in shade but very weakly - bright sun produces a healthy fountain enough for a small pond (ours is about a metre deep and about four metres square) and a satisfying trickling noise. Very easy to set up and to maintain. Warning - do not refill your pond whilst it’s running as it seems to hate the sludge/ soil/ gunk that’s thrown up so take it out, refill and let the water clear a little before returning it to the pond. It has stopped working so I took it apart (following the instructions) did nothing other than stare blankly at the bits, put it together and it worked again and has done since.
