One of the coolest picture books I have seen. My son loves discovering all the hidden creatures. The included light is bright and has a good battery life. Beautiful pictures and each location has its own style.

This was a gift for 6 years old granddaughter. According to her dad they've been reading it every night and having lots of fun searching for the invisible pictures with little light included. The pictures show up better if the flashlight is not held too close to the page. I took other reviewers advice and also purchased a small blacklight flashlight as backup but so far its been 2 weeks and the included light is still working fine.

I snagged this for an amazing deal and didn’t know what to expect.IT’S FRIKKIN AMAZING! It’s not just a normal flashlight book, it needs the special flashlight it comes with. The historical references were so cool and my 9 year old and 7 year old were so pumped about finding the beasts with the flashlight after I read to them. Get this book. I already bought more at full price to give as gifts.

This book is beautiful. My son calls it his "magic" book and absolutely loves it. The illustrations are captivating and it is fun to learn about all of the mythical creatures. I would give it even more than five stars if it wasn't for the poor quality little light that comes with it. Ours works, but it is so dim that it is hard to see the magical creatures well. Luckily we happen to have a black light flashlight in a drawer from an old science project and it made the whole book come alive. I checked and amazon has them for about $5 a flashlight. Even buying the flashlight separate this book is still worth it. But buy them at the same time to make sure you get the most enjoyment out of it.

Granddaughter loves this book. She had it from her friends!!

Such a fun idea but hard to do in a light room.

Story is fine. But the light included is really, really hard for an adult to squeeze on. The “creatures” are so faint I could barely see them.

This book takes your children on a magical journey through time, and their imagination. Buy the book.
