Tasty Tuna!
I was made aware of Ortiz Bonito Del Norte Tuna by a Chef. This tuna tastes like and looks like tuna should. Chunks in the can are pink and flakey -- the aroma flows once the can is opened. I used two cans to stuff olives with tuna and peppers then breaded and fried the olives. Yummm! With the third can I made tuna sandwiches -- tuna with Mayo and diced sweet pickles on sourdough bread. Makes me smile just thinking of what tasty tuna treat is next. Highly recommend.

For special dishes
Great taste. Used for Nicoise and tonnato. Worth the extra price. Too good/expensive for just regular tuna salad but when you need a stand-alone bit of tuna it's great.

Great flavor but high dollar...
The tuna was really good, but I'm not too sure that it is 6 or 7 times the value of a can of Starkist tuna. Really good to be eaten directly from the can. Great flavor and moist. Only for special occasions.

Better than I ever expected!!!
This tuna melts in your mouth… not fishy… I can’t go back to any other product! I love tuna and this is now my favorite for certain!

I didn't know tuna could taste like this!
Had everything ready to make tuna salad, then opened my can of this expensive, imported tuna to see what it was about. I tasted this tuna, and I knew it was one of the best foods I had EVER tasted. To make it into tuna salad would defile the chunky, smooth tasting fish. I ate it plain, and threw some on a regular salad. I never do this with plain Jane tuna. My expensive, imported tuna transformed into an investment in a very special product. I used to wonder why Giada would use a canned tuna on her live cooking show, and now I know why. Only wish I had more of this tuna so I could experiment with some tuna, white beans, onions, salad, vinaigrette.... Oh, I'm sorry! I got carried away! This olive oil packed Spanish tuna is an indulgent treat!

Damaged/dented can
1 of the 3 cans of tuna was quite dented. I did not trust that it would be healthy to eat.

Simply the best canned tuna money can buy
I simply love this particular brand of Spanish line caught tuna in buttery olive oil. The tuna is firm, meaty and fresh tasting while the olive oil is buttery and silky. I use it almost exclusively to make a chickpea and tuna salad that my family loves.
