The unit is very sturdy and would be very hard to remove in a time any thief would want to take, and they would need proper tools.The one main issue is the screws supplied were Phillips head which are easily removed. My suggestion is to purchase #6 our #8 X 1"" Torex screws or even better Snake Eye type screws then fill in the holes.Overall a great product to give reliable security.

inadequate product protection mountain tabs bent had to re-bend - reshape to make it work - also mounting screws should be 1/8 inch longer - supplied ones are too short - they should also be security screw heads not Phillips like a 2 hole type or at the very least a torx start head #20 - also install directions tools required call for a tox start #40 driver - actually it is a torx #20 that is needed - other than that it work well and fits great

What I like about this product is easy installation, what I dislike is the screws where to small. Had to find ones that fit and then fill the tops with plastic so anyone could not unscrew.It does a good job at securing items, will not stop someone hell bent on getting in but makes a problem for quick grabs. Overall it does a great job and I would recommend it!

Installed in 6 minutes....simple instructors but I do not know why instructions said 30 minutes to install. Factory screws in console a hair short and the screws that came with lid are useless. I had several around the house that worked fine. A good value.

Cool item, BUT I cant get the top screws to spread far enough where the door doesn't bind when opening. Now I have a super scratched up item. Ill be putting this the pile of crap i bought that failed.

I love the lock box, however the included screws it comes are the exact same length as the factory original screws. The console material thickness is 1/16" and the screws aren't long enough to actually engage their threads into the center console. I'll have to find other similar screws at the hardware store that are are at least 5/16" longer in order for the unit to even attach to the console properly and securely.
