Amplified Holy Bible, Large Print, Hardcover

I bought 2 of these for gifts for my son’s teachers. The Lord had put it on my heart to witness to my 5 year old son’s two teachers who have been so wonderful with my son. My son is autistic and goes to a special school to receive his therapies and services. The teachers are a blessing to these children and I have come to care for the teachers and therapists I have gotten to know. While the schools were starting to closing down in my state due to covid, the Lord had placed it on my heart to witness to the 2 teachers in particular that have been working with my son since him starting school at 3y/o. I love my amplified bible as I find the translation to be accurate and allows for easier reading. I have become more familiar with the scriptures from reading them in my amplified bible so now when I read KJV translation I am familiar with the verse enough to understand what it’s saying. My amplified bible has allowed me to gain better understanding and provides a more enjoyable and smooth read. I couldn’t figure out at first how to witness to the teachers when I only see them for a few moments at drop off and pick up and it’s not the most conducive situation for witnessing. With such an important thing to share I had to find the right way to do it. The Lord is amazing and so faithful. All I had to do was ask him How and he answered. I made gift bags for the teachers which included a copy of this amplified hardcover large print bible. I also bought them promises from God Book to read for situations like stress, fear, etc. and also a book from max Lucado on trusting in the Lord during difficult times. I needed items to help me witness since I couldn’t do it speaking to them. I also included large tubs of hand sanitizer, lysol spray and Lysol laundry additive since those items were no where to be found and I had some in my pantry. I also included a 5 page hand written letter personally to each of them to witness through the letter which I tucked in a thank you card. I prayed over the Bibles and the rest of the books & prayed for the teachers’ hearts, minds and ears be opened to receiving the good news.I had felt such a heavy burden on my heart for them that I even found myself sobbing as I prayed for them. I felt that I would never get a chance again to witness to them. Once I dropped off the gift bags at the school as I picked up my son on the last day, and prayed one last time, the heavy burden I felt was gone. I am confident this Bible is the best choice for those new to his word as it has helped my walk tremendously with the Lord without compromising the accuracy as compared to NIV which leaves whole verses out and excludes certain words now. I can read my KJV with better understanding of what the verses are saying now that I have become familiar with them from my amplified. I still prefer to read my amplified Bible and it continues to bless me as I spend time in God’s word. I hope this helps and perhaps it will give others an idea for those tricky situations with those whom you want to witness to but can’t do it the traditional ways of witnessing such as speaking to them. The Lord guided me and I am so thankful I was able to serve him in this way and I learned another powerful way to reach people when social distance appears to be a problem. God Bless.

This is one of my favorite Bibles. I love this translation, the size, and the big font. It’s the Bible I study with and take to church. It’s so beautiful! It doesn’t have a ribbon but I added one and it looks great! I put tabs on it as well.

I am in love with my bible. It breaks things down for me to understand it more and really understand what I’m reading. I recommend this bible to everyone. Words are nice size to read. The only thing that I wish it had was Jesus sayings were in red but other than that it’s just right.

I love, love this Bible. I like the expanded translation in the verses, because there are a lot of words in the Bible that do not translate smoothly into English. It helps without having to drag out my Strong's Dictionary of Hebrew and Greek. Though I do still use it, and Webster's dictionary to get why the translators chose certain interpretations of words. It is very easy to read and understand, My second favorite is the NLT is reads like someone talking in today's syntax. The next up is the NIV, ESV, CSV, the CSB, ASV. NASB is last, it reads like a report rather than people actually talking in conversation. It's more word for word, but I prefer thought for thought. What good does it do you to know it's word for word if you don't get the meaning of what it's actually saying? I have had more Aha moments since I started reading the Amplified and The New Living Translation than all the years of reading all the others combined. If I hit a spot that I want more clarification, I check my study Bibles, and the interlinear Bibles online. I like that there are notes at the bottom of the pages for extra information. The amplified Bible folks really need to publish a Study Bible. That would be soooo goooood.

Great bible. Pages are extremely thin and tear easily.
