Healthy mind, healthy body
While there are nine factors and the author presents the science of those, a healthy mindset seems to be behind everything that leads back to good health. The author researched this book for over a decade, talking to people all over the world, and continues to add new content on the website. There's lots of information on treatments, diet, supplements -- but it leans toward the spiritual side of how cancer gets a chance to grow in the body in the first place, and how in the same way a healthy mindset is integral to turning that around. All roads lead to Rome here, and this book makes a great case for how the mind is key to recovery, which is actually very inspiring. This book lets you know that you CAN do something with your mind, your faith, your spirit, no matter what the doctors say. Others have, you can too. Great read, highly recommend.

Excellent
Allow me to start by saying I have Stage 4 Terminal Colon Cancer that has metastasized to my liver and stomach. I was given 6 months to 3 years to live by a local Oncologist and hospital. I immediately started researching my cancer and cancer in general and looking for options. I'm not saying traditional medicine is wrong or bad because I'm doing both Chemo and all-natural therapy like SourSop, Curcumin (purchased from Amazon) and more. It's my belief that it's the natural options that are honestly making the difference. Yes, the items purchased are organic. In fact, I have gone all organic, as suggested in the book. This book is very comprehensive. The book covers many natural options to traditional medicine. It also provides simple examples directly relating to cancer. I'm following the books suggested recommendations and it actually works very well. Since I have started following the books recommendations my cancer markers stabilized and are dropping. I highly recommend this book and following its suggested recommendations. Honestly, I cannot say enough positive things about the book. My only recommendation is to suggest that you read the book slowly and read it cover to cover and read it twice so that you are able to apply the recommendations. Respectfully, Don

Significant information for cancer patients
This book is brilliant because the author does not dismiss traditional cancer treatments, and therefore oncologists may be open to its message. It provides important information for open minded people who wish to validate their sense that contemporary Western medicine is not the only resource in healing cancer. Everyone has heard of someone who has been healed from non-traditional means, but because these cases do not fit into the Western paradigm, they fall off the radar screen. In fact, as Dr. Turner has discovered, there are thousands of cases like these and she has found that the patients have all followed 9 very specific and similar processes (1) radically changing your diet, 2) taking control of your health, 3) following your intuition, 4) using herbs and supplements, 5) releasing suppressed emotions, 6) increasing positive emotions, 7) embracing social support, 8) deepening your spiritual connection, 9) having strong reasons for living. Medical schools provide, on average, one week of nutrition class to its future doctors - thereby turning on its head the very foundation of health for thousands of years "let food be thy medicine." In fact, this omission is so profound that we have trouble seeing it. Changing their diet was something all of the cancer survivors did and we learn that cancer cells consume 10-50 times more sugar than normal cells. Releasing suppressed emotions was another key factor in recovery, and Western science, particularly quantum physics, is just now beginning to describe a connection between thought, energy, and physical manifestation. To most people, well schooled in the thought systems of the West, the following quote from a Japanese cancer survivor, Shin ( a scientist by training), might sound absurd or irrational, but this is someone who was given 3 months to live and whose cancer was healed. "Conventional medicine tries to kill, always, kill, kill, kill. I didn't kill my cancer. I loved it. The most important thing I learned is that cancer is my body. It's not an enemy; it's still my body."

You have to get this book
This is such an important book for cancer patients and their families and friends. I applaud Dr. Turner for taking the chance in her dissertation to do the qualitative research that was begging to be done and especially for making her discoveries available to the public in the form of this beautifully conceived book. For me, Radical Remission came along at just the right time. I have stage IV colon cancer and have read everything I can get my hands on about mainstream treatments and alternatives. I'm still in the middle of my journey with cancer, so I don't know for sure yet whether I'll be adding myself to the list of "radical" survivors in Dr. Turner's book, but I am doing many of the things they did and was thrilled to have it confirmed that I'm one of many individuals who are looking beyond mainstream medicine for hope and healing. It was comforting to read about what others had done, and to identify with all of the nine common factors Dr. Turner synthesized from her interviews with radical survivors and from her study of over a thousand documented cases. The individual stories in the book are fascinating and inspiring, and I loved the way they were interspersed with discussions of current studies that support the anecdotal evidence. I've already recommended this book to all my family and friends and I know this is one book that I will read again and again. Whether you have cancer or not, this book contains profound life lessons that can help anyone learn and grow as a person. It's a great read. I couldn't put it down.

This exceptional book gives a lot of power for one to recover from some cases of early diagnosed curable illness of cancer. The author makes us truly to believe we can cope with light cases of cancer. She shows to readers that in practice there are a number of cases in which ill patients overcome cancer. The writer by her book inspires us to believe in human great spiritual power and possibility to achieve positive thinking attitude to illness. I personally estimate this book as helpful to improve one’s good health.
