Legendary Whitetails Women’s Long Sleeve Plaid Flannel Button Up Shirt 100% Cotton

This shirt is better quality than any clothing I’ve probably ever purchased off this site. The flannel is nice and heavy, the colors pretty, and the shirt seems to be very well made. It washes well, and I really like that it has a bit of shape to it and isn’t wide and boxy like so many these days. I ordered my usual size and it fits well overall, although it is slightly snug around my hips, but that’s my build, not the shirt’s fault. My only concern and the only thing that would make me think twice before ordering in another color is that the shirt gaps open a bit between the middle/upper buttons sometimes even though it doesn’t feel tight at all. Since I always layer with at least a tank top underneath, it’s not a deal breaker. I am pleased enough with the fabric and quality that I will likely purchase again, even if I decide to try sizing up.

I’m 5’6”, 125lbs, 34B bra, small in most tops, size 6 in pants, and size 28 in premium denim. I ordered this flannel in sangria plaid in size small and medium for sizing comparison. Personally, I preferred and kept the size small. It skims the lines of my body, but I can raise my arms up without hindrance and there’s no gaping at the placket across the chest. Fits around the hips buttoned all the way down, although that’s the tightest point on me with this shirt.It’s worth noting that I want to wear this as a foundational layer with at most a thin, long underwear shirt underneath it. I wanted a style that would fit closer to the body and would allow me to tuck it into my jeans without a lot of extra fabric if I want to wear it tucked. This shirt in size small was exactly what I wanted for that.If you want a flannel to wear unbuttoned, like a light weight jacket, then you should size up. I would actually say that I think a more traditional cut that doesn’t have princess seaming would be better than this style for wearing as an unbuttoned outer layer.I really like that the collar and cuffs are lined in chambray. It makes them a bit stiffer and offers a nice contrast. Chest pockets and sized and placed in a flattering way, unlike a flannel I recently returned to LL Bean where the pockets drew your eyes immediately to the girls. Sangria plaid pattern is exactly as pictured. Flannel is decently soft on the outside, but isn’t as soft on the inside. I’ve cerrtainly felt softer flannel. However, the weight is perfect:Thick enough that it feels durable and like flannel, but not so thick that it’s bulky.I agree with a previous reviewer who noted she’s 5’5” that this shirt isn’t really long enough to wear as a tunic shirt with leggings. So unless you’re 5’2” or shorter, this is going to be the length of a classic button down shirt.For $29.99, I doubt you’ll find a better quality flannel shirt and I would definitely recommend this.

Initial Impression: The quality of these is fantastic.Feel: They are super soft and feel thick and durable. I like to wear them on really cold days with a snug fitting, color coordinating t-shirt underneath.Color: I love the color options available. I especially like the ones with the teal shades and the holiday colors.Sizing: I normally wear small, bought the medium, and it was too big. I like a little loose fit, but it was too loose. For me the normal size would have been fine and left some extra room still.Laundering: However, the small was gone, so I steam washed it in the washing machine and dried it, and then it was perfect. Since then I wash this shirt on a delicate cold cycle and hang it to dry.Design: The only thing I don't care for are the pockets. They seem unnecessary. For a couple of the designs I think they are actually distracting and draw too much attention to the area. They sat a little high up but not awkwardly too high. The shirt would be perfect if it was just the shirt and nothing else.Price: I loved the fit and warmth, though, so I kept the first one which I got for about $30. I bought another one when it went on sale for Black Friday for about $20. I won't buy any more unless they go on sale or they stop making them with the pockets. Everything else about these is great, though!I hope this review helps you!

Absolutely love this shirt. The material was soft, warm, and well made. No itchy feeling to it. Also, the color looks great on me!

The colors are beautiful and good quality flannel shirt with nice details. It is on the lightweight side but not cheap feeling. I normally wear Med and sized up with a Large. Glad I did, runs small.

I love, I mean LOVE, my Patagonia Fjord flannel shirt. It is cut for my curvy figure, nice colors, and most of all it's WARM (9+oz flannel). It provides the warmth of a sweatshirt with a totally different look that also lets me layer (warmer days I wear over a tee, cooler days I wear under a vest). However, I do not love the price tag of Patagonia.I wanted a couple more flannels so I thought I would give this Legendary Whitetails a try. I am 5'5" 125 34D. I got a small in the pretty pumpkin-y colorPros:colorshoulders fit well - nice and fitted, not "oversized"reasonably contoured (nips in somewhat at the waist)doesn't look "baggy"Cons:Too tight across the chest. but if I go up to a M then I fear it otherwise will look like a potato sackFlannel is too thin (I'm guessing 7+ oz flannel?). This definitely does NOT replace a sweatshirt. So, if I'm in my house in the wintertime and I'm saving energy by not blasting the heater, I will be too cold unless I wear longjohns under it, even with a vest.It says "Legendary" across the back. whaaattt?I think the result is that instead of purchasing a couple of these, I will purchase one other patagonia Fjord. Maybe REI will have a sale....

Perfect shirt for the Fall & Winter. I bought a size larger so I could wear turtlenecks and thermal undershirts with them. PERFECT. The color is amazing, fabric feels so soft and I bought a size XL because I don’t like tight fitting clothes.
