Great pots!
These are some of the best self watering pots I've ever had! Easy to put together and quick to see how much water it left. Love the color!!!!

Great self-watering pots ... just skip the soil
The pots themselves are fantastic. The self-watering system works really well, and the built-in water level indicator is actually useful. It makes it easy to tell when my plants need water without digging around in the soil. I also like that the inner pot lifts the roots out of standing water ... my plants seem happier. The included soil was a nice bonus, but I wouldn’t use it again. It molded after just one watering. I replaced it with my usual mix of cactus soil, perlite and orchid bark, and everything's been thriving since. If you're looking for well-designed pots that make plant care easier, these are a solid choice. Just bring your own soil.

Love these pots!!
I absolutely love these pots! I have most definitely invested a large sum of money to transfer most of my plants to these along with Pon. Definitely worth the investment! The only reason I am giving this 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the water gauge. I have noticed that they can occasionally get stuck, and can make you believe the plant is fully watered when it is bone dry. Be sure to check if it seems like the water gauge has not adjusted in some time. Please please please make larger pot sizes! I would buy them all!

I wouldn't call them self watering but I still love them!
I bought two sets of these. One in teal and one in gray. The first set I used one of the coir pucks in the bottom of each of the pots and topped with my own soil (which the seller recommends as the coir doesn't contain fertilizer). The other set I used just the coir, as I had run out of potting soil. Personally, I think I prefer the coir. It absorbs quickly but also dries a little quicker than the soil (Miracle Grow all purpose, if anyone's interested), which helps to keep the plants from sitting in soggy soil. Which is another thing that needs to be addressed. These are primarily pots with large reservoirs. They may help protect you from under watering, but they make it much easier to over water. This is why I'm not a fan of the term self watering. While I love the bottom watering feature, which can be highly beneficial when watering correctly, you need to remember it's mostly the substrate that's drawing the water up, not the plant's roots. Instead of automatically adding water when the indicator drops to the bottom, see it as a sign to start checking your "soil". If it's still moist an inch down and your plant looks fine you don't need to water just yet. Also, make sure your plant is in the correct substrate. Even though it's nice the coir comes with the pots, a succulent is probably not going to like sitting in it (I'm currently taking some Gardenix 5" pots out for a test spin with LECA for my aloe cuttings). Again, I love the bottom watering feature. It helps keep the substrate on top dryish, reducing the chance of mold and buggies. The outer pots are quite sturdy and the liners seem strong enough to do their jobs. I did have some issue putting together the indicators for one set of pots. I ended up having to sand the circumference of the top pieces a little, where they connect to the brown tubes, in order to get them to fit. The other set (along with the 5" pots) were easy peasy to put together, though. Would love to see larger pots in the future!!!!

Multiple Design Flaws - Will Not Repurchase
I've been using these pots for several months for semi-hydro growing with LECA, and unfortunately they have significant design issues that I haven't experienced with other brands of self-watering pots. I cannot recommend these and won't be purchasing more. Major issues I've encountered: 1. Persistent algae growth in the reservoir. This is my biggest complaint. There's a gap between the reservoir and inner pot that allows light to penetrate, creating ideal conditions for algae. My self-watering pots from other brands don't have this problem because they fit together more snugly. 2. Inner pot is very difficult to remove. There's no lip or grip to lift the inner pot out of the reservoir. You have to wedge your fingers into the narrow gap between the two pots to pry it out, which is awkward and frustrating every time you need to check water levels or clean the reservoir. 3. No feet on the inner pot. The bottom is completely flat, so when you remove it to flush the system or clean the reservoir, any roots extending through the drainage holes are pressed directly against your counter or sink. This can damage delicate roots. Other brands include small feet (usually 3) that create a protective gap. A few positive things they have going are that they look nice and feel sturdy. I haven't had any issues with them breaking or cracking.

Attractive and great to use when gone on a trip. Self-waters plants just enough.
Easy to set up - just the right amount of soil for each. Im using for my African Violets indoors.
