7.5 years in my car
I bought this amp because my previous amplifier died a mysterious death. Actually I don't remember what happened any more, but I bought this to replace it. I had my previous amp professionally installed and wired, so I simply screwed it in place where the old one was and connected it to the existing wiring, and adjusted the levels/low pass filter all in about 10 minutes. It's worked fine since. I use it to power a single 10" sub so it's more than I really need, but it was cheap enough and works fine. I haven't thought about it for the 4.5 years since I got it, and just happened to be looking at amps on Amazon and decided to review it.Edit: now up to 7.5 years and not a hiccup.

Great amp
So this is my first amp. I was in a electronics class for 2 years so this stuff is second nature to me kinda. You need to make sure you have clean power(use a capacitor) and a good ground. I can't stress this enough. I see alot of reviews saying that this amp died in 2 weeks or gets really hot. I'm sorry to say but you didn't install it right. Make sure you use as short of a ground wire as possible and don't ground it to your battery. Use the body of your car and scrape all of the paint off were you ground it. I sat in my explorer and listened to my newly installed system for around 4 hours and my amp wasn't hot at all. It felt like the back of my phone when it's pluged into the charger. Not hot all. Also make sure it's not covered by anything (like your seat) and if it is have a fan blowing on it. Use a computer fan and connect it to the remote wire with a relay (same with the amp) . I thought it would be hard to install a system based on stuff I've read online and that I never done anything with vehicle electronics before. This is nothing Compared to troubleshooting an arch Linux install your dumb friend messed up. This stuff is easy. Read one tut. Also don't be like my brother and run the power wire out threw the hood and in threw the door. Run it threw the firewall. There is always a way to get the wire in. I just had to cut a hole in the piece of rubber by the emergency brake.

Pushing two 12" kicker Comps
Im a begginer at the whole 'sound system stuff' but i bought this amp to put in my single cab f. 150..not gonna lie its a killer amp..to a certain point..i feel like its not putting out anything around 1600 watts..i have a few friends that have 'brand name' amps..when i put them to my speakers they make this amp look like its nothing..i would recomend if you pushing like one 12" which i started out on..but if you plan on competing at stop lights or just really wana feel the bass..this isnt for you..i rate 4 stars just because it is good for the money..but honestly go to boss amps and spend a few more dollars..itll deffinetly be worth it in the long run

Don't Buy Won't Last
I bought this for my son for Christmas and I'm so glad I waited to rate this amp because it stopped working not even six months later. It sounded good while it lasted but it didn't last long. The price sounded to good to be true and I guess I was right and I knew I waited to rate this half ass amp for a reason. If your thinking of purchasing this amp I would say you better think twice. I am a regular Amazon shopper and This is the first 1 star I have ever given a product. What's bad is I can't get my money back. It is a total loss for me.

Good Amp for 3 Months
Worked great for around 3 months then after an hour long trip the amp shut off from overheating. I did have the gain pretty large but after it cooled down it now just sounds like static when I do it even with the gain set to around 1. Pretty big amp and it feels cheap as well. I suggest saving for a better name branded one so you don't waste 50 bucks like I did.

Runs 5 subs Sounds amazing
Hey i hooked this bad boy up today and im so happy i bought it, I have 4 8inch bazooka's which are marine speakers but i got them in my car....Anyways i got those and a lanzar 15inch (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000DZH1MW/ref=oss_product) that i bought from here which may i add was an amazing price and is a really great quality product. So ya i got all that running from this alone and the system still makes my car shake even tho i need more wattage.Tomorrow i'll have this bad boy running to the 15 alone and add my boss 650watt running to my 8inch subs. Overall though this amp is just incredible compared to what i've had in the past and i would recommend it to anyone i know.
