YogaDirect Nylon Yoga Mat Bag

UPDATE as of 5/31/22 - I bought another of these and have now lowered my rating from five stars to four stars because although all of things I liked about the first one I purchased several years ago are still true this one is slightly different. For unknown reasons, this new one is about an inch or so shorter than the prior one. Both the old and new one will properly hold a standard sized yoga mat . . but it's distinctly more difficult to get the mat into or out of the new bag. My original review is shown below:I needed something to carry my yoga mat on my bike, gave this a try, and it works pretty well. I have a Jade Harmony extra long, standard thickness mat and the fit is perfect. There is a little inside pocket that you can use to put credit cards, keys, etc. inside, however, this little pocket doesn't have a zipper so it is possible that whatever you put inside it can get loose. That wouldn't be a disaster because whatever got loose would still be inside the bag and wouldn't get 'lost'.It does, in fact, work to carry across your back in case you want to ride a bike with your mat although it does slip around a little and needs some occasional adjusting to keep it centered across your back.I also like the color for whatever that's worth.UPDATE as of 5/31/22 - I bought another of these

As a new yoga student, I purchased this bag to go with a mat made by the same company, figuring that the bag would be made to fit the mat perfectly. I decided on black to go more with whatever I was wearing than the color of my mat, which is hidden inside the bag anyway. The bag is sturdy and well constructed, not too big, with a strong shoulder strap for carrying it to class. Price was very reasonable compared to other bags that I considered. My only complaint is that the zipper is a little too short and I have to struggle to roll the mat just right before I can stuff it one end first into the bag. Would be a whole lot easier if the zipper was longer, still I'm happy with the bag and do use it regularly.

The bag is much more useful than I thought! I never minded carrying my yoga mat in a large tote bag or on its own under my arm, but after putting this bag to use, I'll never go without it again. It's surprisingly comfortable on the shoulder and barely feels like I'm carrying anything at all. The material is slightly on the cheap side, but at this price, it's no worse than I would expect. It's plenty sturdy to handle a yoga mat and tossing it around carelessly. The mesh is a nice feature allowing the mat to breathe. I've also thrown it in the washer and dryer, and it's held up. Great value for the price.

I bought this bag because I figured after 7 hours on a bus, one more hour on an L-train and 45 final minutes in a compact rental car, my body might need a bit of a stretch. This bag did the trick, holding my lightweight 1/8 inch yoga mat easily-- and my son's khaki pants rolled up inside for wrinkle prevention (worked well enough). The strap is adjustable, so I could carry it crosswise over my body along with all our other paraphernalia. I was thinking of buying those hand and feet things, but then considered the possibilities of motel carpeting, and wanted to bring my mat. The hand and feet things cost four times as much, too. I'm pleased with the quality of the bag as well. No rips or pulls or tears or anything after hauling North of Chicago and back. I'm sure it will serve well for the next trip!

This is a great yoga bag. I bought a black one for myself, pink one for the girlfriend. I don't actually do a whole lot of yoga, but I use the mat when I do ab exercises. I have zero problems putting my mat in the bag or taking it out. I've read that some other bags are a tight fit, but that's no issue with this bag. Plus, with the middle section being nicely netted, it lets the bag air out in between uses. Wouldn't want my mat getting moldy in a closed off bag. The strap is nice, according to my girlfriend. I don't really take the mat out anywhere, so I have little use for it, but she says it doesn't bother her shoulder/arm at all when carrying the bag a few blocks to the gym.

This yoga mat bag works well and it does hold the  Yoga Mat by Aurorae, Ultra Thick, Extra Long with Focal Point Icon and Illuminating colors that define your Inner Self , although it's a bit of a tight squeeze getting the rolled-up mat into the bag. I like the bag's netted mesh panels that help to ventilate the bag interior, and the strap allows me to sling the bag comfortably over my shoulder for carrying.

This bag is perfect for the occasional yogi. I go to yoga once or twice a week and this yoga bag holds my mat and my yoga clothes. While it's not the sturdiest bag in the world, I think it will work for the next couple of years. I'm very happy with this bag, especially because the price was so great. It's nice to be able to quit tying my yoga bag up with an old string! If you're thinking of getting this bag but aren't sure, go ahead and get it. I was afraid that at that price it would totally fall apart but it's working great. Love the color selection too - I got mine in Aqua Green.

I have a 1/8" mat and at first I didn't think this bag would accommodate it but I just realized I have to roll the mat tighter. I have room for the mat and the strap and nothing else however, the only other thing I carry to class with me is my water and towel so it works well. The strap is adjustable and I like the mesh part that gives it some air.

Perfect for my needs!

So far my mat fits perfectly. There is still room for a small towel and other small items that I might need to carry with it. I do wish it has a side pocket and opens more wider as it was a little bit of a struggle. Other than these, it works fine for me. I love the mesh for air out.

This bag takes a beating! Great quality, great price and lovely colour.

Works great, love the extra pocket on the side. I have a thick 6MM thick 72" extra long yoga mat and it fits in here just fine, even when I do a loose roll-up. Would recommend.
