Best yet
So these are the best plug makers I have used - and I have used a lot. The thing that's really fabulous is that it puts a little hole the plug which allows you to immediately recognize which end is going to go into the screw hole without having to think about it. Brilliant. Worth the price of admission right there. Specially if you're putting 60 plugs in a row Although they should wipe them clean from their manufacturing operation as they should not arrive dirty enough to soil ones hands by handling them. I cleaned them with a little solvent -- problem solved But we don't like oil near our wood work - thank you for making them

Nice plug cutter
These are much better than the cheaper ones I purchased, broke and threw away. Tried them first on western red cedar. If you try to cut too deep, the plug will break off and get stuck in the bit. Be careful how deep you go and they work fine.

Very good product.
Excellent product. I have tested it with pine, walnut and sapelly, performed very well. be sure to dimple the wood before drilling.

Best thing since sliced bread!
I bought these because I am building a 6 ft floating shelf out of Walnut that I got from a sawmill. The wood was warped, so unfortunately I had to use screws when I glued it up. I didn't have a plug cutter, and I didn't want to use dowels from a store, because I didn't want the endgrain showing from the ends of the store-bought dowels, I wanted them to show as little as possible. The first time I used the plug cutter with a hand drill, it wanted to walk on me, but that was because I put too much pressure on it starting out. You have to start lightly and then slowly add pressure. I am very happy with this product! One side note... make sure when you put the plus in the hole, the grain lines up. The first dowel I cut, I put it in the hole and forgot to line up the grain. Luckily, you can't really notice it unless you are looking. Overall, I give it five stars and definitely would buy again!

Centering pin makes a difference
One neat feature about these relative to the last plug cutter I had was that the centering pin helps keep the cutter from wandering around as you start the cut. Without it, the teeth can grab the surface of the wood unevenly and shake it around a bit until you have a round groove cut to hold it in place.

Meh - not as sharp as they should be
These are okay but not great. not as sharp as they should be leaving a rough finish on the plugs

Good value for the product.
I’ve used other brands in the past for cutting plugs. I was in need of a 1/2” plug cutter for a window trim project that required a historical sill (only available in plastic from my local supply center). Being plastic, the cutter did a ok job of making the plugs, but I found that my countersunk holes had shrunk sense the install. So I had to sand down the leading edges a bit to get the plugs to go in. Honestly, I found nothing wrong with the cutters themselves, but nothing replaces a good drill press for cutting plugs. Just remember to keep your speed as low/slow as possible or you run the risk of burning the material you’re cutting plugs from.

Top notch
Used on my composite deck and they worked perfectly

Package arrived as promised. Each cutter was covered with a black substance that was a bit of a nuisance to remove. Perhaps it was powder left from the powder coating process at time of manufacture, but I’m not sure. Plug cutters are a bit “friggy” but they work. Perhaps they will become more reliable with use. They appear to be well made. I don’t think at this point that my purchase can go in the “good value for money” column. I’m just trying to be fair.
