SML2 is an exciting adventure game for original Gameboy system.
Super Mario Land 2 is very well done. You can tell what a difference a few years makes in graphics comparing Super Mario Land 1 to this game. The game has a nice big world to explore and is much more expansive than SML1. The game does have that Super Mario Bros feel to it. One thing that is weird about this game is how high Mario seems to jump in this game. Every time I play it he seems to hit the ceiling of the screen. His jumps seem floaty as well and not dead drops like in the classic Super Mario Bros. The game introduces Wario who is a cool new villain character. The play control is excellent the castles and bosses are all well done and interesting. The game is easily one of the best on the original Gameboy system. The games challenge is pretty easy it should only take average players a day or 2 to beat the game. The game is great for people of all ages and is fun to play. I would rate it 5 stars. Even now years after this game has been released it still has a nice replay quality to it. I would easily let my son or daughter play it. Gameplay: 10/10 Play Control: 8/10 Story: 8/10 Challenge: 7/10 Replay Factor: 9/10

Oh Mario. You can't go wrong when you want a fun and challenging platformer. The gameboy had a host of excellent games, and if you still have one and haven't played this guy, go get it. Some of the Mario conventions are little wiggy; the Star power-up doesn't play the actual star song, some of the enemies are very different in style from the ones we've come to know. The controls are good, the physics make sense, Mario hops and crushes turtles, and you can fly around and shoot fireballs. What else do you expect; they really didn't mess around when making a game about their plumber. If you like Mario, you'll like this. If you're entertaining a kid with a retro console, get them this game. It feels a little easier than some Mario games, a great way to get them into the series. Not toooo easy though; that first underwater boss dropped me a few times with invincible squid babies. GG again, Nintendo 1992. Proud of my roots! ^_^

This is one of my favorite Mario games
This is one of my favorite Mario games. Partially, because it's a unique entry to the franchise that often gets overlooked. My only complaint is that the game is very short, and can be properly completed -all the secret levels included- in a couple of hours by the average player. However, there is also, like most Mario games, quite a bit of replay value here. A solid four-star game for a classic system.

The Son Of Super Mario Bros. 3 And Super Mario Land
WOW, I love this game. It is the best non-colorized portable Mario side-scroller I have ever played. This is one of the best game boy action games out there, along with donkey kong land 1-3, Metroid II, The Kirby games, and others. The rabbit ears kick but and I love the space zone. Graphics-4/5, almost like black-and-white super mario world. Play Control-5/5, Extremely Tight, and not too complex. Game Design-4/5, It would be perfect, but it lacks an ice zone or a desert zone. It's a bit short compared to, oh say, Super Mario World, but it has high replay value. Hidden Levels too! Satisfaction-6/5 Expert players may beat it in a week or two, but you want to play this forever!!!!!!!!!! Sound-4/5- The Sound is almost as good as SMB3's, but the music isn't perfect, but for a game boy game, it's fairly solid. the good- cool enemies, powers, levels. great replay value. the bad- it's a tad short. the ugly- The Three Little Pigs and Wario.

Back to my childhood
Just like the day it was gifted when I was 6! Works in my Gameboy. Low key mad when I found my old console but not this game. Escape to a happier time; the simple things. Great value, fair price, and it works! Thank you!

Not impressed.
I've ordered used game boy games before and I was a bit disappointed by this purchase. The cartridge will play but only after having to take it out and re-insert multiple times hoping one might finally work. Also for some reason if the game is left idle while playing (I.e. You get up to go to get a snack or something,) the game will blank screen and won't work until you restart the game boy and go through the taking out and re-inserting thing again. I also assumed the save battery would work because the listing did not specify otherwise and it does not. This cartridge is just more of an annoyance than I expected which would have been fine had I not paid $12.00 for it. I've received better quality used game cartridges for $4-5.

Just as good as I remembered it.
This game is just as good as I remembered it. An excellent follow up to the just as great Super Mario Land, Super Mario Land 2 contains all of the platforming goodness that you would come to expect from a Mario game. This game gives you excess to six different zones that each contain anywhere from 3 to 4 stages each giving you plenty to do, though the game is still a little on the short side and seasoned Mario players will be able to finish the game in no time at all. Personally, it takes me anywhere from an hour and a half to an hour and forty five minutes to finish the game in one sitting. All in all a great game.
