Noticeable Results! My Husband and Friends Are Complimenting My Skin
After using Murad Retinol Youth Renewal Night Cream for the past few months, I can confidently say it has earned a permanent spot on my vanity. The results have been so noticeable that they’ve sparked conversations! I use this cream on my face and neck every night, and the transformation has been incredible. My skin looks firmer, smoother, and has a renewed vitality that I haven’t seen in years. It genuinely feels like it has “ brought out my youth” as my skin looks more refreshed and lines appear softened. My friends have been asking what I’m doing differently, amazed at how good my skin looks. The most meaningful compliment came from my husband, who loves my youthful glow. This cream is gentle yet effective. If you are looking for a retinol night cream that delivers visible, noticeable results, I highly recommend this one. It has truly restored my confidence

Good quality and long lasting
The bottle lasted me 6 months and I use it nightly. I only used it every other night the first few months because it took my skin a little while to completely adjust to it, but I love it. It actually hydrates my skin, doesn't leave a heavy film, and makes my skin feel so smooth. I also think it is making my skin look younger/healthier.

You Can See the Results
I am 66 years old. My skin barrier became damaged and then most everything made it sensitive. I tried numerous drug store and higher end retinol products before finding this one from Murad. I have been using it for over two years, in conjunction with their retinol serum. I could see results almost right away. I started using it slowly, to let my skin become used to it. Even with sensitive skin, I can use it with little to no irritation. I use it for three nights and then just use a moisturizer the next night, then back to using three nights again. I think it must be their three forms of retinol, including one slow-release form, which makes it tolerable for my sensitive skin. Niacinamide is included in this product, and it helps make my pores look smaller and skin more refined. I have seen smoother, less-lined skin after using this, very much worth the price. It lasts me for months, since I apply a thin layer and use it three nights on, one night off. My skin is somewhat oily, but post-menopausal, so it gets dry, plus I live in the desert. I would not say this is ultra-moisturizing, and it is not too heavy. After absorbing a minute, you can apply regular moisturizer over it, which I do if I feel it's needed. If you have dry skin, you may want to do that, since niacinamide can dry skin a bit. I still break out occasionally, but this has not clogged my pores or caused breakouts.

First Impression and one week update
I just received my prime order for this item yesterday, so this review only consists of my initial impression from a first nights use of the cream. I do have to say that I'm pretty impressed. The price is substantially lower than other premium brands, though it feels and performs just as well as brand that are two or three times its price. I've been switching back and forth between Strivectin and Algenist for years, but decided to give try a product that was a bit cheaper and I'm glad that I did. I'm not a fan of scented face products because they just tend to be overpowering. Its just hard to find things that aren't. This night cream has a very subtle scent that almost requires direct contact to be able to smell, so for a person with scent sensitivity issues, it was great from the start. Beyond that, its very light. It doesn't feel excessive like most night creams and instantly soaks in, again, unlike a lot of night creams. Who wants that greasy feeling right? So on first impression, it seems worth the money. I'll update in a week or so with additional thoughts after longer use. UPDATE: We am now on day 6 is f using this product and I am very impressed. Most brands use varying levels of puffery in ther advertisements or little blurbs in containers to encourage sales, so when I read the side of the container for this saying “...work faster and visibly minimize lines and deep wrinkles, even tone and restore suppleness”, it was something I immediately discounted. In retrospect after less than a week of use, I now whole heartedly agree with that statement. The standard wisdom is that most facial products take up to 22 days to see results, so one that has very noticeable affect in under a week is amazing. Beyond the actual benefits of the product, the pump topped container is wonderful as well. Every time you open a jar of moisturizer you expose it to air and over time that progressively dehydrates it. The push top is so nice because it keeps the product sealed inside so that doesn't happen. So I’m the end, I’ve got to say that the decision to go with a product that roughly 1/2 the cost of the previous brand I was using has turned out to be a good one.

Impractical packaging detracts from product quality
I can only begin to speak to the product itself, which feels nice and smells unobjectionable. But my first impression is that the packaging is ridiculous. It is twice as large as it needs to be, making this very hard to travel with. There is an enormous lid dispensing device that would not work to dispense over half the product. To control the amount of product I use, I have to open the awkward dispensing device and go in with my finger, which is just ridiculous for a product at this price point. They have really over thought the packaging here. Please offer this product in a plain old jar for those of us who consider money spent on packaging to be money wasted (*not* spent on product.)

Nice enough product that does indeed improve the look and texture of your skin but there are other products that are competitive to this one at a far lower price....

I've had great results from Murad's Retinal eye cream so wanted to try this. I saw reviews mentioning scent but honestly, it's 2024 and I didn't think a serious beauty brand was going to put petrochemicals-based synthetic fragrance in a face cream. I assumed it was all-natural. I'm sensitive to scents, and if you are too, absolutely do not waste your money on this. My first application was last night and, after reading reviews here, I was shocked by how strong the scent was. And it's that cloying fake-floral synthetic scent. I woke up early coughing from all the mucous in my airways. I get that perfume is a psychological tool and Murad probably won't stop using it, so I'm done using Murad.
