I am very happy with my decision to buy this magnetic knife holder amongst others that I have previously viewed. It is a good weight that won’t topple over, even though my worktop is tiled & not perfectly flat. Very well made, looks great & the magnetic strip is very strong.

The item is a good size, fits nicely on my counter. I have stored 8 knives in total, 4 front, 4 back. There are 2 super-strong magnets near the top of the holder, they are very strong for what they are holding, I can see why they picture a wrench on the listing! However, there are no magnets lower down, giving opportunity for the knife point to slip off whilst attempting to remove the knife. I have adjusted by turning blade side off the holder first then pulling the rest off so as not to damage my blade. The holder base is WIDE enough, but nowhere near HEAVY enough. It needs to be made of thicker stainless steel or have a steel core to it to weigh it down. My other 7 knives provide a good deal of weight to the unit, but still pulling 1 knife off wobbles the thing all over and its a little disappointing. The unit is good value overall, you won't find anything better for much cheaper, but i would have liked more product development to solve these simple problems. Seems the market is a little thin anyway. I would have gone for a magnetic strip but i'm too worried about a self confessed clumsy partner stabbing herself trying to take a knife off the strip. I looked into the stick-based ones and also the slot ones, but there's nothing long enough for my 25cm chopper! I thought about getting rid of it just to buy something. Most holders seem to favour 21cm or less. :/ Not good for a chef that still likes to cook at home. Good buy overall, for £16 it would take most of you knife collection. I'm still on the lookout for something that might fit my needs just slightly better.

Für mich die optimale Eigenschaftskombination eines Messerblocks. Ich wünschte mir einen Messerblock, der meine neuen Messer nicht gleicht abstumpft. Damit entfallen die Blöcke, bei welchen man die Messer in ein Material einsteckt, also klassischer Weise Holz mit Vorbohrungen, modern in Kunststoffspaghetti. Die platzsparende Variante sind Magnetbänder, welche man an der Küchenwand anbringt. Mir missfällt aber, dass die Messer dabei offen anhaften und Haushaltsunfälle dabei nicht ausgeschlossen sind. Überdies haben solche Bänder in meiner Familie schonmal ihre Haftung verloren und beim Absturz Messer und andere Küchenutensilien beschädigt. Der neue Trend sind nun ansehnliche Holzblöcke mit integrierten Magnetbändern. Zwischen diesen habe ich mich bewusst für diese Variante entschieden, da hier noch eine transparente Kunststoffscheibe vor den Block geschraubt wird. Sollte man doch mal heftiger gegen den Block stoßen oder ungünstig an die herausragenden Messergriffe greifen, so purzeln nicht gleich die Messer durch die Küche und man verletzt sich nicht. Auf beiden Seiten können Messer angehaftet werden. Der Stand ist sehr stabil, sogar besser als erwartet. Minimales Manko: offenbar ist nur ein Magnetband ganz oben unter dem Holz eingelassen. So kann man Messer wirklich nur von oben einschieben. Mit einem zweiten Magnetband im unteren Bereich könnte man noch weitere kurze Messer von der Seite einschieben, das wär Top. Bei dem günstigen Preis kann ich die Entscheidung aber nachvollziehen. Bitte messt euren Platzbedarf vor dem Kauf nochmal aus! Der Block ist schmal. Das ist sehr angenehm, wenn man nicht viel Platz auf der Arbeitsfläche hat. Mit vielen Messern stößt man da aber trotz Beidseitigkeit schnell an seine Grenzen.

This product was much better than I was expecting it to be! After combing through other similar products, I came to this one which was reasonably priced and was not to big for my apartment kitchen. The magnets are super strong, and it has no issues holding my 2 chef knives, bread knife, 3 paring knives, and kitchen shears. It is heavy enough to not be toppled over easily, and it has a rubber bottom to keep it from sliding around on your counters. The only thing I would be careful of, is picking it up/moving it by holding the acrylic plastic covering. The acrylic is perfect for keeping out kids’ fingers or cat paws, but because the products is heavish, I wouldn’t trust the plastic to not crack or at least be compromised if one were to squeeze it too hard. If I have to move it, I hold it by the metal rivets which hold the plastic cover in place (see photo for reference, I only was holding it by one hand though so I could take the picture). I originally got this to protect my cats from touching the knives, as would probably happen if I got a regular magnetic knife organizer (so far so good!). But I actually love how it looks on the counter too! I highly recommend the product!!

After buying two others and being disappointed, I bought this one and finally found my favorite! It’s sturdy and the wood doesn’t crack. It looks sharp on the counter and is streamlined. There magnet holds lots of knives! The price is right. I’ve had mine two years and it still looks great!

I love this knife block. I was looking for ways to bring warm wood tones into my white and brought kitchen. This is a winner! I've had it for several months and the magnetic strength hasn't changed. The wood is as beautiful as it was the day it arrived. Stylish, functional, and super cool!
