Let the 2x4s dry first!
I have 2 sets of these and they're great and easy to install.Important: You need *pressure treated* 2x4s for the base but keep in mind that pressure treated 2x4s are usually *bigger* when you buy them (they'll feel slightly damp). Let them dry so that they shrink down to their normal size and then they will fit in the rack. (I suspect this is the source of a lot of the negative reviews.) The drying process can take weeks or even months but if you find treated 2x4s that feel semi-dry and put them out to dry where the sun and wind will hit them then they can be ready much quicker.

Sturdy and I can choose any length 2x4 s
I was a little afraid this would not be sturdy but works great.

Not as strong as it could be
I'd give 4.5 stars if I could. For the price this is a great rack - easy to assemble, well-finished, durable -but it has trouble actually holding as much weight as its dimensions allow. I had to stabilize it with an end-to-end top brace to prevent it bowing out, plus a back brace to prevent it tipping. That said, it's bearing up really well after several seasons of (sheltered) outdoor use, and I'm thinking of buying a second one. Ideal if you can place it not just free-standing, but in a wall corner or against a fence or post.

Does not fit 2x4
I've purchased a very similar firewood bracket in the past and they worked well, you slide in the 2x4s, attach screws, and they work well. When I opened the package I could see the first problem. Each bracket is made of 3 seperate pieces that must be assembled. The top U shaped piece, and two bottom pieces. The bottom have a bracket that "should" fit a 2x4. I noticed the brackets are very light gage metal, poorly tack welded to the thin pipe.I purchased 3 sets of these. I assembled the first bracket and then tried to inset the new 2x4 purchased from Home Depot, only to find:THEY DON'T FIT!The brackets are too small, the 2x4s must be shaved by about 1/4 inch.I returned the brackets and I'm looking to order the same strong brackets I've purchased before.

Seems okay, but a few caveats
Serves the purpose and easy enough to use. A couple things I should have looked more closely at in the reviews. the side pieces are in 3 pieces, which means instead of a continuous tube to form a solid side, you get three pieces connected by two bolts... not as stable. As others noted, the holes for 2x4s are actually 2 in x 4 in . and not suited to the US market where 2x4s are smaller... Will likley need to add shims to make this more sturdy. Also be aware that to connect this to your own 2x4s you will also need your own wood screws! Why would they not include this? No idea. Why have holes for screws and no screws? Overall I think this looks nice and will function okay - I will need to get some shims and screws to make it a bit more solid.

Sturdy, customizable log rack that’s built to last
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sturdy, customizable log rack that’s built to lastI bought the Fire Beauty log rack bracket kit to organize my firewood, and it’s worked out great. With just a couple of 2x4s, I was able to create a solid, custom-sized wood rack for my patio.✅ Pros:Adjustable design: Use your own 2x4 lumber to build the rack to the exact size you need.Heavy-duty steel: Powder-coated finish resists rust and holds up well outdoors.Simple assembly: Just slide the boards into the brackets and screw them in—takes minutes.Stability: Once assembled, it holds a full load of firewood without wobbling.Indoor/outdoor use: Works just as well in a garage, basement, or by the fireplace as it does outside.Compact storage: Breaks down easily if you want to move or store it.❌ Cons:Requires your own lumber: Brackets only—need to buy or cut 2x4s separately.Weight limits depend on wood choice: Stability is only as strong as the lumber you use.Not decorative: Functional and sturdy, but more practical than stylish if you’re looking for a display piece.🧾 Final Verdict:The Fire Beauty adjustable log rack kit is a smart and affordable way to store firewood. It’s strong, weather-resistant, and customizable to any space. Perfect for anyone who wants a reliable wood storage solution without paying for an expensive pre-built rack.

Feels sturdy
The brackets fit the treated 2x4 perfectly, every thing snuggled up tight and looks good. Now to start splitting wood and stacking it up on the new rack.

There is no horizontal support across the base of the ends
I am very happy with the Fire Beauty Firewood Log Rack. I purchased a 10' long ground contact treated pine 2x4 and cut it in two to go between the two ends. I was concerned because there is no support between the feet of the ends but with logs on the rack and the rack sitting on the ground I do not expect that to be a problem. Although I bought ground contact treated lumber, I decided to set my rack up on cinder blocks to keep the rack above the ground and allow better air circulation. I attached the treated lumber to the rack with stainless steel wood screws as I live in a salt air area. I recommend you NOT tighten the bolts used to connect the feet to the u-shaped tops of the racks too tight as you could bend the tubing. I just snugged them up about 3/4 of a turn past when all slack was removed.
