R2-1200X1 Prime 1200-Watt Mono Amplifier

I'm a bit early to writing this as I only got it installed yesterday at this point in time, but so far it worked really good, I have it set to my kenwood excleon XR-W 1202 12" in a belva angled 12" box. I do have my old bigger box where my other kenwood in, incase the angled doesn't work out. But I didn't want the sub in the back of the trunk, so I can avoid that nasty trunk rattle. Instead it's in ther back seat on floor in the center where I wanted it, behind the arm rest so I get base going in all over in my 19 kia optima, but if it comes to it and I do use the bigger box I will have it behind passenger seat which will take up some space which would have that seat scooted up alittle, but so far my current set up. The one thing that does rattle is the door handles, but by very little and you barley hear the rattle even next to it and can't hear it a ft or 2 away which is nice. So there is a rattle, but not bad at all, even next to it you barley hear it. Car even suppresses the noise windows up doors closed and can only hear it 10ft away. Windows down maybe a good couple hundred ft. The whole set up hits super good! I had it professionally installed and they said they tried to get it sounding best they could, and there is not for me display for my sub to tamper with the base, so I have to use the knob. So Im alittle nervous if I'm going to over power my sub if I try to tune it myself. Over all tho, the amp works really good with the sub amazingly! Happy I got one that fits the rms to my sub, since this is a very early review i didn't get a chance to fully test it out. But so far it handles everything very nicely which is very good. So far I love it!

This is an unbelievable amp... Hooked it up to two Memphis mojo mini 8 in subs and I'm blown away with how much power and clarity this amp plays them with... Rockford fosgate never disappoints?

I gave this amp 3 stars on price because of the inflation Only. The amp itself is 5 star worthy. During normal pricing days, you will pay more for Fosgate than most amps. I have two amps so I can compare to this amp. Pioneer 9701(1200 watts amp) and skar rp 1200 watts amp. I have a smd dd1 to set the gains on these amps. To my ears, the Fosgate out performs them both. Bass sounds smooth and cleaner. Not saying that the other two amps are bad amps, they’re very good amps for that price range. They are budget minded amps. But their is a significant difference in quality in these 3 amps mentioned. I will and have recommended pioneer and skar products to people and install them in their vehicles. So they do very well and they won’t hurt your bank account too much.

Bought has a replacement. Good quality . Can't go wrong. Use for my 10inch sundown

I realize there are likely much more powerful amps available today but as a 44 year old bass head that is just getting back into car audio after a 25 year hiatus, the power this amp delivers for the money is outstanding. I still have Phoenix Gold and Rockford amps that are over 20 years old and only produce a 300-400 watts and cost much more at the time. Delivering 1500 watts at 1ohm to a pair of Sundown SA12 classics in custom ported boxes is a completely different experience than I had in the 90s. I love the C.L.E.A.N. feature on these amps. After setting properly setting the gain, I have rattled my car and eardrums and yet to experience any clipping. It runs surprisingly cool. I also like the incremental detents on the bass knob. It makes subtle adjustments easy.

Mine came with blemishes as if it were used. The CLEAN testing didn't work, as I performed it per the instructions, and no lights, blue or red, illuminated at all. As far as working as it should, it performs well, and I am happy, but it should've been sold as used and not new.

Does what I need it to do

The power consumption is serious. I need some upgraded electrical to see what it's capable of but at what my current set up can handle before I go below 12 volts. It sounds great and still waves the trunk with 2 P3D4 12s

Got this hooked up to by 2-12 subs. She got done juice. Live RF. Guys under the seat perfectly.
