Extremely light, affordable, and portable
We bought this car seat for travel and had it drop shipped to NYC for a week long trip. We made it to/from the airports using public transportation, which do not require car seats (because they are safe without them...).The car seat is extremely light, as it is just made out of a single piece of injection molded plastic. It has an easily removable cover, and it included the single latch strap that works for both front and rear facing, as well as the strap that goes over the top of the seat for forward facing. That is it, 4 parts.Granted, this cannot possibly be as safe as our Graco 4ever car seat that has like 30 parts and weighs 4x as much, but it is a federally approved car seat. Our son is still rear facing at 2 years old, so that helps a lot too, safety wise.Since our son is still rear facing, I cannot comment on the forward facing capabilities...Bottom line is that this should be everyone's "backup" car seat. After our son puked all over his 4ever car seat, we just popped this thing in while we tried to hang dry the 6 separate fabric pieces of that car seat. If another kid is visiting, boom, we can put 2 in the car. When traveling, this thing should be indestructible... I would be afraid the 4ever seat would break itself because of the number of pieces and how heavy it is when a baggage handler would even put it on the moving belt. When traveling, we don't even bother with putting this in a "car seat bag", we just let the airline put it in that standard clear plastic bag... after a trip we just put the cover in the washing machine.

Great for travel and light weight
This is our travel car seat for my 2 year old daughter who is about 30lbs and 37” tall. She’s pretty tall, but we can use it still for a little bit longer before we will have to change to a taller seat. We use this for travel because it’s much lighter than the Graco 4ever we normally use and also it’s approved for airlines. In the pictures it’s attached to the Go-go babyz travel mate we use to roll it through the airport with and it works great. I honestly love this seat it would work great for every day as well. My 2 year old loves it and the cup holders are fantastic. I honestly wish I would’ve gotten this seat vs the Graco when she was younger and could grow into this. The Graco has way more height for her to grow into now though. I love how the seat pad is machine washable.Edited to say: like others say the crotch strap is a little shorter than I would like it to be! It worked ok for a while then I had to change it out to a Scenera crotch strap. I got this idea from another person in these reviews. It works like a charm and makes the seat last so much longer!

Also with cup holders and easily removable washable cover
We are liking this seat for our almost 3 year old. I wanted a seat that would be comfortable-rear and forward-facing for infant through toddler that was under $100 and safe! Also with cup holders and easily removable washable cover. This seat meets this criteria well I think. My daughter loves it! two cup holders are a luxury that she enjoys! The insulated sippy cups we were using The First Years Super Chill Insulated Sippy Cup, 9 Ounce,Designs and Colors May Vary are slightly too big for these carseat cupholders unfortunately. But we got some of these Playtex Sipsters Stage 3 Insulated Spout Sippy Cups - 9 Ounce - 2 Pack (Color and Design May Vary) style and they are also insulated and anti-spill/leak like the 1st years cups and fit well. The carseat is light weight like most seats under $100 but has a semi-reclined angle even forward facing in our vehicle which seems comfortable for lounging. The cover is one piece and is just attached to the seat by elastic trim so there is no velcro or snaps of any kind to take apart for washing, the whole thing comes right off and goes in the washing machine with I love!Only drawback for us with is seat is that the crotch buckle is not as long as some for toddlers who are bigger. I called the manufacturer about getting a longer replacement (Costco brand offers free replacement buckles for this model which we also own Cosco Scenera NEXT Convertible Car Seat (Otto). The company said the Apt 50 model hasn't been out long enough for them to review and offer a longer belt for this seat yet but to call back within the next 12 months and they would probably have it for this seat too. I asked customer service if it was a safety concern that was holding back a longer strap or only the fact that this seat has only been out for a few months-she said it was the later.So-I called back and requested two more replacement straps for the "Cosco Scenera NEXT Convertible Car Seat" model and they sent them and I replaced the buckles on our three of our seats. No problem, and no extra cost. Also I recommend Britax EZ-Buckle Belly Pad which fits great with this seat and protects thigh skin pinches in summer time when your baby's in shorts-added bonus, it also keeps the buckle out of the way when your child gets into their seat so you don't have to dig under them to find the buckle! I think it's worth $12 just for that alone!Update:Still love this seat, purchased in February for $49. Price currently is increased to $60+ Ready to purchase a second seat but hoping price will come back down.

I think this is a good alternative to use as a 2nd seat
I ordered this seat as a 2nd travel seat since I keep my Graco 4ever in my car as a permanent seat for our 1 y/o.I think this is a good alternative to use as a 2nd seat. My little one rides in it comfortably, and he can sleep in it without any awkward neck positioning because he had to get use to his Graco 4ever when I first began using that seat due to the head pads. I like that it has cup holders built in too.The seat is larger than appearance from the website pictures as most noted in their reviews. It's very lightweight and easy for toting. We're flying for the first time with our little one, so I was also looking for a unibody structured car seat since my BFF told me American Airlines broke her Graco 4ever seat when traveling to DC last month and have yet to replace it.This seat is also a good alternative seat for my hubby to use long term as our little one continues to go from rear facing to forward facing over the next few years.I would definitely recommend this seat for the parent, grandparents, or anyone who transports a child on occasion and need a seat in their own vehicle.
