If your 2017 Cadillac CTS is dealing with an oil leak at the back of the engine, this is likely the part you may likely need. I chose the GM Genuine Parts 12686657 vacuum pump to avoid any fitment or quality issues, and I’m glad I did. Installation was straightforward for someone with moderate DIY experience. Replacement Vacuum Pump from my 2014 Cadillac ATS 2.5L RWD
I decided to buy a new Vacuum Pump for my 2014 Cadillac ATS because I was already in the process of replacing my Valve Cover Gasket due to it leaking. In order to replace the Valve Cover Gasket you have to remove the Vacuum Pump, and it was kind of a bi*ch to do so… Hence why I decided to replace it as well. I also went a head and replaced the Vacuum Pump Seal with it. I found some Videos on YouTube that were pretty helpful, so definitely check those out if you need to. I highly recommend that you remove the wiper arms, cowl, and that giant metal bar that sits underneath it. You can leave the wiper motor attached to the bar. Just loosen the two bolts, and the grommet should hold it in place. I’ve had the new Vacuum Pump in for a few days now. Hoping it lasts a long time… If I run into any issues with it I’ll come back and edit this review. But so far so good🤘

Fixed the issue with the hard brake pedal
The brake pedal in my Chevrolet Malibu (2014) was hard, especially at low revs, as if the brake booster wasn't working. Based on the information on the Internet, the issue was identified to be with the vacuum pump on the engine (it was also noisy). This pump was a perfect fit and a direct replacement - and now everything is back to normal. The replacement itself was pretty easy, and the new pump comes with the gasket and bolts, which is great. I opened up the old pump, and it was absolutely gutted inside, no wonder it was making terrible noises and did not provide vacuum.

2015 cadillac ATS 2.0 turbo
mechanical vacuum pump failed. Brakes were very hard to press and engage. Replaced this part and all worked fine. Was a very tight fit but did fix the brake issue and fit perfectly.

Fits perfect!
Fits perfect for my 2013 Cadillac Ats. If you are handy and have patience, you can do this diy. If you take it to dealer or a shop you're looking at about $1000. I installed it myself and took 3-4 hrs. My old one grinded it self up and shattered on the inside. Luckily no metal shavings went into the engine valves or would have been catastrophic. This the importance of keeping up with oil change. This one I bought on Amazon has been running good since installed a few months now.
