BB100L Barbecue Box with Lid Fits 14" Blue Flame Cooking Systems

I got the grill box this weekend and I bought some lean burgers to grill and here’s a few things I noticed: The grill box is very sturdy and the grill itself is all cast-iron. It’s kind of a heavy grill and I feel it”ll last for 3 generations. The box itself is made of a metal that is pretty strong but it’s not cast iron so don’t listen to the negative reviews about it as it’s still pretty good next to the cast iron grill. The under grill part of the box is designed to evaporate the dripping grease back into your food, well it works. I had to clean out the bottom of the box still but it wasn’t bad at all. Over all I love this grill especially that the meat did not hardly stuck at all to the grill. You can re-season the cast iron grill if you want to before use as you should re-season it any way at least once a month which will keep the non-stick surface. But the grill in the box is ready for use right away. I feel all in all this is a great buy.

I bought the Camp Chef BBQ to use on my Camp Chef 2 burner cook top. I also have the combination griddle, grill. The bbq box is great for when we are camping. It makes great steaks, hamburgers and other food. The size is great for our family, and what’s better is it is small enough to store easily in our trailer. I have the camp chef carry bags which makes it easy to store and keep clean. The one thing that you have to watch out for is that due to the gas burner being below the bbq, you do get flare ups while cooking so you need to keep a spray bottle with water to spray when these occurs. But this is not a big problem if you pay attention. I strongly recommend buying the bbq box.

As part of Camp Chef's mix and match grill items, this is definitely a winner! The box can be used open for direct cooking, or with the lid attached for various indirect, steaming or similar cooking methods. The box is well-made and robust. We also protect it from the elements by storing it in a Camp Chef storage bag that works perfectly with the BBQ box. In use, the unit is easy and a joy to cook on. In our case we partner the single-burner BBQ box with one of Camp Chef's flat top griddles and can cook a plethora of various foods at the same time with the appropriate base...grill or griddle! One of the great things about Camp Chef is their Customer Service. Unbeatable in my opinion and I have had multiple interactions with them...all with outstanding advice or resolution! This is a FIVE STAR rating for me as an Advanced Home and Personal Chef who cooks regularly outdoors and in campsites. The only downfalls to this thing is that the lid is not attached so you have to have someplace to put it if you want to cook with 2 hands. I knew that coming in and did not want to spend an extra $20 for the hinged model. It's easy to make a hanger for it. But with that comes the upside of being able to get to the food in the back easily; which can be difficult for the hinged models and actually limit your usable cooking space. Other downside, the handle on top is metal so you can not grab it unless you have something to protect your hand. Again, easy fix; I grabbed the handkerchief out of my pocket and wrapped it. Good to go. Great heat disbursement. I was worried about hot spots or uneven cooking but that was absolutely not the case. The carrying case is a must have for this guy. It makes transporting and protecting it a breeze.

This is the highest quality stove / BBQ / smoker system I have ever used or have been able to find. I live alone and have a small patio just needed something for myself and this fits the bill completely I bought a cast iron smoker box from Walmart and turned it into a gas smoker just like that! I bought the heat diffuser and put the smoker box on top of that as per the instructions and the grill box on top of the smoker box it's not a perfectly flush fit a little wobbly but it works! Oh my goodness does it work I bought a Weber rib rack and it fits perfectly underneath the lid I am currently smoking two racks of spare ribs! Ok so been using for a while and stopped due to food tasting like propane...guess that should have been obvious with a 30,000 BTU grill lol Perfectly edible just never noticed that taste with other grills?

We picked up the grill box to turn our Camp Chef 2-burner stove into a barbecue when grilling over a fire wasn't possible. This accessory is worth every penny! We used it twice this weekend on our camping trip - once to make pork tenderloin and once to grill chicken. We were thrilled with the outcome. I was worried that the small grill box wouldn't be big enough, but we fed 8 people both nights with room to spare. I should point out that it's a little hard to clean, but I'm sure I'll get better at that as I get used to it. I'm very pleased with this purchase. I'm going to pick up the carrying case though because it is a little bulky.

This gets a 1 star for seller honesty. It was billed as warehouse with minor cosmetic damage. Had to do body work with a mallet to get it back in shape. Once that was done, the first order of business was a rack of spare ribs with marinating rub. temperature was easy to regulate . and they came out tender and juicy. I do my ribs on an old steel sheet pan that fits perfect on the grill , with an occasional 1/2 cup of apple juice to baste with the drippings and a chuck of water soaked hickory under the cast iron grill , 3 hours and the meat was pulling away from the end of the bones and we were in hog heaven. I would give the grill a 4 1/2 discounting the dishonesty about the damage to the grill. works great even if it had to go into the shop first! Burgers were next and with the hickory smoke, mmmm mmmm , grill marks, juicy. Whole wings and beef satay are next with Friends Sweet Hot Tai Sauce. Maybe apple wood smoke this time.
