Ukulele groups love them!
I run two ukulele groups and give these out to the players. They are lightweight and fit together easily and snugly with no looseness. The thin layer of padding where the instrument sits is not only useful but essential. Very well made, sturdy, look nice and excellent value. Disassembled they lay flat and thin. Fits all sizes from soprano to baritone. I have four or five of them myself in different parts of the house so I can have several ukes handy and can set them down wherever I end up sitting.

INSTANT ACCESS TO THE INSTRUMENT MAKES YOU WANT TO PLAY MORE!
This stand makes the access to the instrument so easy that inspires you to play more. I love it because my child who is the actual end user of it needed something to support few of the string instruments and I did not want to spend a fortune on a super fancy expensive stands. I just needed something that will hold the instrument upright, that does not require strapping or nesting in a time consuming manner and this was a great answer to this need. Why I like it: -------------------- = because it is sturdy enough to hold well ukulele, mandoliner or banjo = because a young child who respects instruments has ZERO problem to take instrument off of it or put it on without any toppling, or accidents. = because it is so easy to set up - literally took under 5 seconds to snap together after taking out of a nice box it came in. = because it looks good, for that price I did not expect rain forest wood but the material still is fabulously good looking and does not clash with the room décor. = because it is good quality, nicely done! = because the price is really friendly and weather your budget is low or you don't want to invest in more permanent solution or if you need immediately for few instruments and higher end stands would blow your budget .. it is perfect for temporary or permanent solution. This stand really surpassed my expectations and I am intending to buy two or three more as I don't have a need for more expensive ends if my child is perfectly capable to use this kind of stands. FABULOUSLY Wonderful product!

I love these stands!
I love these stands! I have 6! They are easy to assemble, just fold right into each other, and fit all of my ukeleles; even my soprano! I even have one using my Lyre harp! You can unassembled just as easy as they lay flat and take them to jams and gigs in your ukelele case. And for being as inexpensive as they are, they are really sturdy. Quality stands which fit easily anywhere.

Nice Display Stand- Prefer Other Style
This "wood" X type is a classier display stand, but it does lean back a ways and has to be pulled out from the wall to keep it from touching it. With the shoulder rest on, it sits a little odd and not as stable, but it will fit, but I'm not crazy about the stability with the shoulder rest on it. It sits a little crooked because of the shape of the shoulder rest and for stability it has to lean waaay back or teeter upright(awkward). The cushioning was all intact and it assembled together perfectly, but I needed a second stand and chose to go with the Metal Stagg and wish I had bought two. I found I could rest the bow frog on the extended arm and lean it against the violin, so that worked nicely. But hands down I really like the Metal one for stability, rugged portability, and the violin sits perfectly in the cradle and almost hides it because of its slim profile and it's not bad looking. Bottom line- I like the X for its looks... but I like the metal one Much More for every other reason!!

Fantastic wood ukulele stand! It’s sturdy, stylish, and holds my uke securely. The natural wood finish adds a nice touch to my setup. Definitely a great addition to keep my instrument safe and displayed beautifully!

Pleasantly Surprised!
I’ve been collecting ukuleles for several years now, and have been using the kind of plastic stands that are light and foldable. I noticed this type of stand on Amazon about 3 years ago. But from the images, it seemed unnecessarily ornate and over-the-top, as opposed to the form-follows-function approach of the plastic stands I’d been using. I imagined the flamboyant design of this stand would be a distraction from any ukulele placed in it. But recently I decided to give one a try anyway, and I’m so glad I did! After sliding its 2 pieces together and placing a ukulele in the stand, I was surprised to see that its form is indeed function-based, with no extraneous design. And while it does look a bit odd by itself, with a ukulele in it, the design recedes to the background to showcase the instrument. (I chose the less color-saturated dark brown to reduce distraction.) If portability is a priority, it delivers there as well because it’s very light, and the unassembled 2 pieces can lay flat together. Also, for ukuleles with pickups, this stand has sufficient space to allow for leaving the cord plugged in with the instrument on the stand (unlike the plastic stands I’d been using). One minor criticism is that its description as “wooden” — which implies solid wood — is misleading because it’s actually particle board with a wood veneer. That said, the strength of solid wood is not needed for securely holding relatively light instruments, plus the veneer is made from a handsome wood. All things considered, I give this product a solid five stars. And after some time using the first stand I ordered, I was so satisfied that I bought several more for my other ukes!
