These glass nail files are very nice, they are etched and work well. Each nail files comes in its own case to keep it clean and ready for use. I got a set for myself last year and liked them so much that I got some to put in the Christmas stockings for the local women of the family. ----------------------------- March 2025 Edited to add - I took my glass nail file on a recent trip to visit family. My sister saw me using my attractive, effective and yet ever-so-gentle-on-my-nails glass nail file and asked about it. I showed it to her, explaining that it was glass which had been etched on both sides to provide the grit necessary to file my nails. Our family has notoriously weak nails which tend to split and peel, even more so for those of us who are healthcare providers and are constantly washing our hands, so I could see her eyes lighting up when I told her how gentle these files are and how I'm able to 'seal' the edges of my nails with this glass file so much more easily and gently than I could do with a traditional nail file. I then shared with her one of the aspects of glass files which I appreciate so greatly and knew she would, too: these nails files can be washed with soap and water after use! Washing it, of course, gets it clean, but it also serves to remove the nail and skin debris from the etched surfaces so that it performs like brand-new-out-and-just-out-of-the-box every time. After washing it, I slipped it back into the hard plastic case to keep it clean and handy for the next time my nails need to be filed. She admired my nails and the file then said simply "I need to get one of these for myself." Later that evening, I went online and ordered this 3 set for her, delighted for her because she'd have enough files that she could keep one at her bedside, one in her purse and one in the car (just like I do - so convenient!) and more delighted for me because they were on sale so I get to give my sister a gift I know she'll use and appreciate and save money, too! They arrived quickly, I ordered it in the evening and it arrived the second morning after I ordered it so we were still visiting at her house and I was able to see how happy she was to receive her own set of glass nail files. This is now the 3rd or 4th time I have purchased this set of nail files, I love these glass nail files and everyone I've given them to loves them, too!

These Nail Files feel surprisingly high-end for the price. Each one comes in its own sleek case, which keeps them protected and easy to stash in a purse or drawer. They glide over nails smoothly, creating a clean, even edge that feels much gentler than traditional emery boards. I took off one star only because the cases can feel a bit snug when sliding the files in and out, but that’s a small tradeoff for the durability and neatness they offer. After switching to glass, I’m not sure I can go back to paper files again. It’s one of those small upgrades that makes your nail routine feel a bit more luxe without breaking the bank.

As i have aged my nails have gotten VERY brittle and have tons of ridges in them. I used to trim them every couple of weeks with clippers, they would tear, break off and were generally soft. No matter what i would use on them to strengthen them, nothing showed progress. I started to research "how to keep nails healthy" because i suffer with Hyper- keratosis and they grow extremely fast, seemed i could not keep up. A few things stood out to me , i would never have known ......trimming your nails with clippers regularly actually weakens the nail, which would explain my nail weakness and "normal" nail files (metal ones) actually cause damage to them. Glass nail files are the healthiest way to take care of, shape and file down the length. I had a glass nail file around the house a friend had given me, so i started to use that, then started to purchase EAONE Glass Nail File, Double-Sided Etched Glass Nail Files for Natural Nails, not only have my nails been much healthier, i don't get those jagged tears in them, and they no longer feel paper thin. I had been buying these for a few years before i realized that they are WASHABLE, in order to "reuse" or get more life out of them. This is an amazing feature for anything nail related to me because i do have Hyper-Keratosis, i spend more money on nail files than i would like. Once you feel the coarse side is not longer working as effectively, while you are washing dishes, simply soak them in the warm soapy water for about 20 minutes, i use a use a dish scrubber/sponge thats "NOT" brand new (it may damage the glass) and gently wipe each side for 30-ish seconds, the i let it dry in the dish drainer. If once it is dry, you can still see the old 'strokes", then i repeat the process. I have one of these pretty much everywhere....1 in the bedroom, 1 in my car, 1 in my purse, 1 in my travel bag and more than 1 in my nail basket in my living room. So i rotate them out, make sure they get washed, to keep them up to par. If this does not excite you, you probably are very lucky and are blessed with amazing nails! HIGHLY RECOMMEND and i am a customer for life EAONE

I give the files a 5 star because they work great but the cases not so much one case was broken and all 3 of them left marks on files

The file itself works pretty well. 3 star review is based on the fact that the case itself is very cheaply made and the color deposits onto your skin when handling.
