Loud -
Very sensitive which is exactly what I was looking for and so loud. I love that it covers a great distance for it allows me to turn it off and on even when I’m on top of a roof.

Loud alarm with remote
This bike alarm is not as sensitive as the one I ordered before from the same company a year ago. It works good but you really have to shake the bike around to get it to beep a warning sound. The alarm is load tho and will definately bring attention to anyone trying to steal your ride. Comes with zip ties that are weak. Your better off using another brand of zip ties

Cheap and does its job.
Works well as part of a layered security system. Combine with a disk lock alarm and a tracker.

First impressions - good, not great
I just got this alarm. Some first impressions: ==== INSTRUCTIONS ==== A lot of reviewers have trouble with them. While they're grammatically a bit of a mess, you can get past this and all functions are addressed. Without very little trial and error, I was able to program the volume, sensitivity, and pair a second alarm to the same remote. ==== ADJUSTABLE VOLUME ==== This is a major reason I chose this KCMYTONER-branded version over others. 113 dB can be really loud, indoors especially. The three selectable levels are a good option and 'spaced' reasonably for choosing volume. HOWEVER, whichever volume you choose seems to affect all sounds, not just when the alarm is triggered. 'System sounds' when arming, disarming, and programming are at the same volume. Even the lowest volume level -- which is fairly tame for the alarm side of things -- is pretty loud for just pressing some keys on the remote. I've posted a question to see if there is anyway around this. If you're using this indoors, or If you want arming/disarming to be discrete, this is a concern. I don't want to be exposed to 113 dB every time I press a remote key. ==== PAIRING ADDITIONAL REMOTES ==== The programming steps are easy to either control one alarm from multiple remotes, or control multiple alarms from one remote. With the one remote / two alarms setup, it was easy to re-pair; once paired, you program two alarms at the same time and identically, which I liked. Downside: if you wanted to program the two (or more) alarms differently, you'd have to either move one out of range, or remove it's battery..... ==== REMOVING THE BATTERY ==== A big pain. There is no sliding battery cover, and it's not as simple as removing a screw, although there is one (and a screwdriver was included). After you remove the screw, you have to pry the housing of the alarm open, basically the way a repair technician might do when repairing a phone. Never done that kind of thing and don't have specialized plastic tools to do it? You're probably going to break something. Even if you don't, the stress this puts on the many little plastic clips that keep the housing snapped close is not good; over time they will break off. I wouldn't expect this thing to survive multiple battery changes, unless you're extremely, extremely careful. This makes it seem a bit disposable, which I'm not a fan of with any electronics, even when it's affordably priced. ==== VIBRATION SENSING ==== The jury is still out on this one and I'll update this review later. It is nice that the alarm has 2 levels of reacting: a short warning tone for the first 'hit,' and then a full alarm if a second hit comes within a few seconds. But, it seems that it takes more of a hit to trigger the warning, then to trigger the full alarm. Even with the highest sensitivity while testing, I had to disturb the alarm a couple of times in some cases before it 'warned,' and then barely touch it to trigger the full alarm. There also seems to be a built in delay of a few seconds between arming the alarm and having it react to the first movement (this could be by design). ==== CONCLUSION ==== Not a bad product, especially for the price, but I'll have to spend more time around it to decide if any of its shortcomings are deal breakers.

Best use: noise deterrent behind garage door I use it on my garage door, it is very loud if you are standing inside the garage but less loud on the outside so I have three of them on the most sensitive and most loud setting, alarm can be adjusted to different levels of loudness and sensitivity and you can program multiple units to a single remote which is very handy. I would not recommend the most sensitive setting for a bike left outside overnight or a garage exposed to the elements as it will probably annoy the neighbors, but thankfully my garage door is protected from the wind and the elements. On the most sensitive setting a light tap on the door is enough to set it off so it is not possible to mess with the garage door without making noise, and that is something I really like. Combined with a sturdy door, heavy duty hasps and heavy duty padlocks it makes for a very good first line of defence. If your door/hasps/padlocks are weak thieves are going to take their chances with the alarm, but if they know it will take them time and effort to go through your first line of defence the noise alarm becomes an effective extra layer of security. I recommend installing two for more noise, three is rather excessive. Reading some comments here, this is not a car alarm and not a proper motorbike alarm either but you can use it on a motorbike as an extra layer of security to complement your padlocks, chains etc. If used on a motorbike you want to find the optimal spot so it is hidden away but at the same time can pick up vibrations easily and it is not too muffled by surrounding material. Again two will do a better job as a deterrent. I haven't had any quality issues yet, batteries last a few weeks then start beeping to let you know it's time to replace them, all in all good product for the price. Recommended for garage doors
