SteiffClassic Mohair Teddy Bear - James,000362

I’m an adult collector and James is my favorite of my Steiff bears. He has the sweetest little face. He’s rather small, which I knew from reading the measurements in the description. Worth every penny, to me. He’s a Steiff, so of course he’s of the highest quality. I currently have him on a shelf, all dressed for Christmas. You can pose him any way you like and he looks just darling! You really can’t go wrong with a Steiff.

James has to be one of the cutest bears Steiff has ever made. There’s not one person who sees him in my case that doesn’t squeal. One of the best expressions on a bears face that I’ve seen in a long time. He’s on the smaller side at 10 inches, but that makes him all the more adorable. Let’s see if Steiff sees the popularity of James and gives us a 14 inch.

Face not sweet as pictured. Nose is pointier, eyes are smaller, head narrower. I’m an old collector of Steiff. Very rigid body, like fur stretched over a form. Not even close to the quality of any of my previous Steiff Bears. So Disappointed. I’m returning. Fur is soft and thin or skimpy, not soft and lush as former bears. Definitely not a plush cuddly. I hope this Steiff Bear is due to it’s price point. I admit mine were in the $250-$375 range in the 1980 & 90’s. Perhaps only limited edition are the quality I’m used to. Just not collector nor child quality.

James is totally adorable! He is a small collector bear of great quality! He is stuffed a little softer than some Steiff bears. He has sweet dark shoe button eyes and is a lovely shade of beige. If you love the vintage look, he may just be the one for you!

As some others have noted, he is a relatively small bear, but he has a very sweet face and a younger looking face than some of the other Steiff bears. He was perfect for me.

My wife was pleased with gift. Well made - little guy (not a big one).

I purchased James knowing that at 10", he would not be very large and he is not. He appears very small. If you're looking for a bear to be played with by children best keep on looking. I think he's better positioned in a collection. He appears really small. He's very cute and will be a welcomed addition to my Steiff Teddy Bear Collection.

Lovely wee James bear 🐻. Worth every penny. Looks the older kind but is really well maid all moving cuddly James bear. Also did I say . Its a Steiff
