I needed a thermometer for myself and bought one for a new Mommy. One of the plastic holders was cracked with a hole in it! I was going to send back which had nothing to do with the thermometer itself so I kept that one and just put heavy tape around the holder and gave the other to my Granddaughter the new Mommy. They work great, money well spent which was not expensive at all! Thank You!!

Accurate temperature readings every time. The battery lasts for long time. Very good value for the price

I know other reviews on this were a little varied, but mine seems to be working. The temperature seems accurate so far (used orally). It does beep. In fact it beeps non-stop after it arrives at a temperature until I turn it off. But its not an overly annoying beep sound. The instructions show that it can report in Fahrenheit or Celsius, but don't actually provide instructions on how to switch that. Mine was in Fahrenheit by default, and I didn't need to change it. I assume if you held the power button for some time it would switch between the two. The Amazon listing also has some inaccuracies. It takes a minute to reach a reading, not 10 seconds. And it says the range is "32.0?(89.6°F)-42.9?(109.2°F)", but I got a reading of 89.1°F (which actually makes me trust the thermometer more). It also says you can recall the last reading, but the actual implementation of that might bother you. When you start it up it shows 188.8 momentarily so you can tell all the cells of the display are working. Then it shows the last reading momentarily. Then it jumps to a starting default value of 98.6, and quickly after drops to "Lo" until you start using it. It doesn't stay on any of the first steps very long, and once you are past it you cannot recall it again. If you stop and start it again, it will remember the "Lo" instead of your last real reading. But I have no need for the recall option, so that doesn't bother me. The box says its unbreakable, and then the instructions on the paper inside the box list the ways it can be broken. Do not bite it. Do not get it wet. I did clean the sensor end of the thermometer with water and it still worked fine, but it's recommended to only clean it with isopropyl alcohol. Definitely avoid getting water near the handle with the LCD screen and battery. Overall, the best value thermometer I found on Amazon. I wouldn't expect these kinds of thermometers to vary much in quality between brands. I got this one for only $4.99, and it comes with a clear plastic case to help keep it clean.

This thermometer is exactly what I needed for my family💛 I really love this particular thermometer because it measures temperatures instantly. You don’t have to wait long at all....in just 60 seconds it will display the temperature right away. Accurate and exact. Very useful for anyone especially families!!! Very user-friendly & economical👍🏻 Overall wonderful, simple Thermometer!!!

Purchased so I would have an oral thermometer in our medical bag. Are use it literally whines when we first got it just to see if it worked. I put it in our medical bag. Went to use it last week, and it wasn’t working. So I looked up what type of batteries it took and ordered them. They were cheap less than $10 but only came in a multi pack. Just want to change the battery in it. This is what it look like! This thermometer is less than two months old. So now I have 10 batteries for a piece of garbage that I can’t return.

...you cannot find an old school glass thermometer anywhere these days. Give me proven physics and thermodynamics anytime. So, I decided to purchase this electronic thermometer as well as one of those "forehead sensor thermometer "guns." I must say that while the gun is much faster, the temperature measurements are all over the place (unreliable in my opinion). This electronic thermometer appears to be much more consistent and reliable.

With the Covid-19 a main focus of our lives, I wanted a thermometer for daily use. Within a few days the display of this thermometer did not register - display remained blank. Dead battery? Defective? I ordered new batteries. Still no response from the thermometer. I tried another battery from a new set of batteries ordered from Amazon. Nothing. The next day the Thermometer AWOKE.So how accurate is the Thermometer. I don't know. The day after that nothing.???????? I can not recommend this thermometer. My search continues.

Got two for $4ea. Notes: To change between F and C, turn off, then hold button. It will store the last reading when you turn it back on but only for one viewing. It will also flash a normal temp to remind you. Doesn't seem to beep at all but maybe my hearing isn't good enuf. Rubber tip, replaceable battery
