IMO, Best SoC DX made yet.
Outstanding quality- the Dairugger I've been waiting for. Excellent engineering you'd expect from Bandai SoC line. Plenty of diecast, a few fragile parts here and there, but it looks EXCELLENT on display.

Received this about 2 weeks ago now and have to say that I am extremely pleased. I'd never had the original toy as a child as the lion Voltron was always more readily available. This has been a secret craving for years. I'm glad I waited! This version of the figure is so well built, including both plastic and heavy amounts of metal where appropriate. It feels solid, heavy and stands very well in many poses. Pieces are easily locked together without falling apart by pressing the "unlock" buttons as you out them together. This esures a nice tight full lock. Move ability is exceptional, outside of the legs. While the legs themselves have great range, the waist "flaps* that are ball jointed in the front tend to like to pop off when moving the legs very far forward at all. Kneeling on one knee thus would be impossible.without removal of this flap. The ball joint is rather small so I worry a bit about it coming out very often. That is my ONLY complaint. The helicopter propellers, at least on mine currently are tight and don't slip off. Even while posing or assembling/disassembling the figure. I've seen many that appear a bit loose, one or both. Perhaps it's just that I don't remove mine often? I suppose I do have one other complaint. The chest ship connects via tiny clips like I guess the original did, which was notorious for breaking. I would in fact worry about these breaking as they're a pretty tight clip. I'd.habe liked to see a magnetic attachment here if anywhere, or somehow a "plug in" method like other parts. Detail is spot on and.each vehicle on it's own feels very solid and worthy. From rubberized moveable tracks to tiny antennae to matchbox feel. The accessory display that comes with it holds EVERYTHING. including the tiny chromed accessories, back head panels, all weapons and even hands. Hands are stored up underneath but they click in nicely and don't fall lose. Interchangeable faceplate as well for Japanese or American naming. Box was solid. No creases bends or tears. This shipper packed very well, inside of a solid box with decent packing material to protect your item, box included. Shipping speed was decent, although perhaps it was more my excitement that made it feel longer. Overall. And even technically very pleased with this purchase and I'd absolutely do it again in a heartbeat.

The awesome Armored Fleet Dairugger (or "Vehicle Voltron") is my first Bandai: Soul of Chogokin piece, and holy moly am I impressed! Legit excitement on Christmas morning level impressed. The detail is fantastic everywhere, from the detail of the box itself: outer sleeve is for the syndicated english Voltron version, while the inner box is for the japanese Dairugger version, to the weapons and hand/fist accessories, and the Armored Fleet individual craft as well, which combines into Dairugger/Voltron. The instruction manual is great! Fusing still images of the old anime and history of the Dairugger. I did watch some Youtube videos of Chogokin collectors for reviews and tips on how to assemble all forms of the "Rugger Teams" and of course final "Defender Robot" form... Being a born in Japan Navy brat (shout out to Yokosuka my birthplace!) I was born into all things Super Sentai, Gojira tokusatsu, and late '70s early '80s anime, specifically Super Robots & Mecha. When we eventually left Japan back to the States per my dad's final orders (retired in Washington State) boy did I make friends fast via my Takara/Diaclone "Transformers", my 1982 Deluxe Dairugger (the fancy maroon box one), a few vinyl giant Shogun Warrior (and Godzilla), as well as the Gundam RX-78 Bandai Chogokin I think released '79 (or '80 to '82). My best childhood bud today still says his nostalgia love for all things Super Robot/Gundam (he makes Gunpla still) came from '80s Showtime on cable playing ALL the super robot/Shogun Warrior anime films often: Getter Robo, Grendizer, Daimos, Voltes V, Danguard Ace, Raideen etc... along with my Japanese toy collection that was about 3 years ahead of what U.S. kids would eventually be introduced too (Yamato/Star Blazers, Diaclone/Transformers, Macross/Robotech). Suffice to say I love this piece, and must now focus on getting the Soul of Chogokin: GoLion/Voltron Lion Force so they can both form blazing swords (just like both Voltron forces did in the special 1 hour crossover episode), bravely defending the universe...of my work desk area :)
