You Need This!
If you are restoring a Jeep, you need this. I was literally about to take my front axle apart when this arrived. I quickly reviewed the steps and it was so much easier, because of the information therein, than when I did my Blazer. It's pretty easy to read and has lots of pictures. Has a lot of tips, too.You need this.

A must have for your Jeep restoration.
I am restoring my 1957 Willys CJ5.This is a great manual, with great photos, tips, and step by step process for dismantling, then rebuilding every component of your Jeep.I've been wrenching on my Jeep 34 years. If your a shade tree mechanic, or expert, you will learn more about your Jeep with this manual.

How to rebuild the 225 V6 Engine
Given that the Buick 225, V6 was standard for my 1970, C5, Jeep.I expected that the manual would give step by step tear down and assembly instructions for that particular engine. Instead it refers me to other manuals for this work. However the manual does give good instructions for doing similar engine work and the rest of the manual is very good regarding all other aspects of restoring a CJ5

Great Collection of Information
This book is by far the best collection of printed information on repairing or restoring your vintage CJ. The author primarily focuses on building his example '55 CJ5 (which is the year and model I happen to own as well) with plenty of notes on "newer" models as well. If you're a little old school like me and much prefer a book over a computer screen, this book is well worth the price. I'm days away from finishing a frame-off build with the help of this book.

Great guide for the novice and pretty good reference to the adventurous shade tree mechanic.
This is a well illustrated guide and good discussion for someone who hasn't ventured beyond routine maintenance of an older Jeep. It would seem bit basic to an experienced mechanic. But it is a thorough treatment of a major rebuild of an older Jeep. If you have never swapped a motor or replaced a clutch this is the book for you and your classic Jeep.
