Really pleased with this book

Having read this cover to cover I was really impressed. The author is very knowledgable and explained things in a very easy to understand way. All of the information is evidence based and the author uses personal experience throughout the book. The amount of information is just right and there are many photo's to help you understand what he is writing about. I would strongly advise anybody to buy this, for beginners and more advanced hunters alike. Most aspects of air rifle shooting and hunting are covered. I enjoyed reading this so much I'm going to read it again pretty soon 👍

Follow a glowing report in Airgun World, I bought this book with some trepidation - could it really be that good? Well, it is! It is reasonably current and deals with many positive and negative issues in a balanced and easy-to-read style. I felt myself nodding in agreement on every page. Loses a star for a lack of enough illustrations and that may put some off but this is still a worthy introduction to vermin control. If you are new to air rifles, this must be the best starting point you can have.

This book is absolutely superb, extremely well written by an extremely knowledgeable Hunter with a lifetime experience in hunting and shooting. I would have no hesitation in recommending this book to anybody either a novice or a seasoned hunter. Les Redcap114.

Unlike a lot of books, the author does a fantastic job of demystifying air rifle hunting and holding your hand through everything from why choose an airgun through to choosing equipment, seeking permission to shoot, hunting various types of quarry and covering safety and legal considerations along the way. I have been away from airguns for almost 3 decades and this book has been a great help in catching up on all of the developments in the airgun world over that time. Using this book I know what equipment I might need, how to setup and use it effectively while ensuring that any shots are taken safely and with the utmost consideration to the humane despatch of the animal. I've read this twice already and would strongly recommen it to anyone interested in airgun shooting.

As a novice to hunting and air gunning I picked up this book as it had been highly recommended to me. I was not disappointed! Braithwaite writes in a detailed yet easy to read style and the whole book is beautifully illustrated.
