I was a little concerned when I read a couple of reviews saying that the stones don’t get hot enough to cook the meat and you need to pre-cook beforehand. That’s not the case at all and the stones are absolutely fine - if you’re using a standard oven just be aware that it may take up to 90 mins to get to a temp. Have oven on full whack! To test, use a table spoon of water - if it completely evaporates after ~10 seconds, you’re good to go 🥩

It appears that some sort of protected film was removed and the plate was scratched in the process on both sides. I am changing my review for the product due to the prompt an efficient customer service on this product. Black rock were very polite and attentive and replaced the part that was damaged, immediately. I have since used my stone and enjoyed a stress free, fun dinner! A very nice product that does what it says on the box! I recommend this product and the people behind making this a great product.

Amazing bit of kit

The stone doesn’t get hot enough to cook a tomato never mind meat! You would have to pre cook your food which defeats the object! Ohhh and it doesn’t sizzle either! Not a good product!

This is ideal for dinner parties where steak is concerned. Everyone has different tastes when it comes to steak so this allows everyone to cook the steak to their own preferences.

Takes a long time to warm properly but when the stone is hot, it works perfectly. Adds a little bit of fun to the same old boring every day dinners.
