Good value. Excellent quality
Sturdy. Ease to install (I used a couple of deck screws - rust resistant) I just didn't tighten the screws down all the way - so that I could lift this hose rack off every fall and store for the winter. Then easily reinstall in the spring. I have had this for several years and it looks almost new. Paint finish is very durable and has retained its color.

Just what I wanted, and sturdier than the aluminum ones!
Great product! I can't believe how much they charge nowadays for the cheap aluminum ones in similar design! I love that this is powder coated, which means it will be durable and the steel won't rust if I'm careful. It's heavier than the aluminum ones but not as heavy as people report on these reviews. It seems well made. The welds are adequate, but I was hoping for more weld points. I bought it because I have a yard butler hand gardening tool and am impressed with the craftsmanship and quality. I love the verdigris finish; it blends in nicely and is practical. But if you want a "statement" hose hanger you can get other colors that are flashier. I have it hanging on a fence post, not ideal, since the guard is only on the front and I'm storing a pocket hose on it. With a rubber or vinyl hose or something stiffer, this would be no problem, but I have to be careful winding the pocket hose on it so that the hose doesn't slip down between the hanger and the post, as there is not much surface area on the post to prevent that. Otherwise; perfect! This would be great on a solid wall, but I didn't have that option. I ordered this for a friend on my account - it was on sale and I found it at half price. What a deal - I wish I had bought one at that price for myself! Hoping it will go on sale again, and then I will get one for myself, as I am a fixed low income person with not much money.

Sturdy, well designed, hold 100' of hose easily
Replaced an old hook that let the hose kink under its own weight. This is sturdy and easily holds 100' of heavy duty hose, and the guide rail makes it easy to coil, holding the hose on the base plate as you haul in and add more. It feels heavier than any previous metal hose holder I have bought. Mine is mounted about 3.5' off the floor and none of the hose touches. If you really want to coil it as tightly as it is when originally sold it would fit, but this is fine for me with less effort. As for all the complaints about it not coming with screws, really?? You don't keep an assortment of screws in the house for general repairs? Besides what screw should they send? You might be installing it in wood, masonry, plastic siding with insulation board underneath, etc. They can't send every possible screw anyone might need, and also educate you on which screw to use in your situation. C'mon people! The screws for the old hook were spaced just like this new one so I backed them out an inch, took it off, slid the new one on them, and tightened them down, so it could not have been easier, but had I needed new screws if the spacing were different, jeez, got a whole assortment in my useful drawer. If you don't, I suggest you buy one of the screw assortments in the little plastic divider boxes available here on Amazon.

Not at all "thick" or "heavy duty" but still absolutely *decent* and *adequate*
First off, for $14 and free shipping, you really can't complain with this and I would buy it again. That being said, I would have liked to have seen a little broader weld points where the curved piece mounts to the wall bracket underneath. Maybe two supports instead of one or something triangular or boxed out... to give it a little more lateral support from flexing and stressing the welds. Reviews that say "thick steel" and "heavy duty bracket" are getting carried away. The steel and the bracket are just enough to be decent and not total flimsy garbage. At no point would the words "thick" or "heavy duty" ever enter my mind with this thing. Think "decent" or "adequate" or "good enough" (I mean good enough seriously and not sarcastically). At least the wall bracket does have some kind of support welded in under the curved piece, and the welds that are there look good. No corny spot welds or not enough weld situations happening there. The little railing on the front however is only welded from the bottom and should really have a full bead around the top at the base of each end. But I imagine that would raise manufacturing costs and we wouldn't be getting this for $14. Do I think this thing will last forever? Hell no. Do I think it will last 10-15 years? Probably. Honestly it's not junk and was exactly what I was expecting after a thorough look at the picture. It's just the reviews throwing words around like "thick", "heavy duty" and "last forever" had my hopes a little inflated from what they should have been. It's decent. And for the price I am more than happy. In 15 years when the curved piece breaks off the wall bracket I will bend a nice thick piece of aluminum bar stock into an L and bolt it down to that with some 1/4 20 stainless bolts. Then it will last forever :)

Perfect for my needs and expectations.
I have four of these now. Nuff said? Ok I'll say more. I just keep finding more needs for these hose hangers. Whether it's an actual garden hose or a compressed air hose or a heavy extension cord they serve the purpose. Well designed and built. Quality materials with a very nice powder coating that looks like enamel on the steel construction.

Nice, sturdy, simple.
I've been using this hose rack for a few months, so it's time for my thoughts..... The most important thing this hose rack can to for me is last. By the looks of it, it will be the last one I need to buy. It is sturdy (the steel) and well produced. Welds are strong and coating, while not as smooth and shiny as an automobile finish, looks good and works well. I mounted it to our brick veneer with lead anchors. It holds a 75' hose without flexing. If you are looking for art, this is not for you. If you are looking for value, durability and function, this is the product for you.

Sturdy, easy to hang, works like a charm
In addition to being durable, easy to install and easy to use, the price makes it a really good value.

Good design and very sturdy
This is a sturdy, heavy duty hose hanger. Not like the light weight ones from the big boxes. Even my neighbor was impressed. Has been in use for a couple weeks now and couldn’t be happier.
