Outdoor clock looks great and keeps time, too!
We have had a pool for 10 years, and have had a a different clock out by it each year - Most quit by the end of the swimming season, and almost none kept accurate time. I was reluctant to spend any more money on yet another clock, but thought I'd try just one more when I saw this one on Amazon. Even though it is "faux slate" with a plastic case, it seems sturdy nonetheless, and actually keeps perfect time. The thermometer and hygrometer are nice touches, although the thermometer usually registers a little lower than our digital and other analog units. As far as appearance, I was pleased to find that the actual "slate" colors on the clock frame blend nicely with our bluish-grey house color. I can't say yet whether or not this clock will outlast our previous outdoor clocks, but it looks nice and works well (for now), and based on our current experience with it, I would recommend this purchase.

Great clock by my front door.
I purchased this clock in 2015. I have had it outside on my front porch area since then. It is just now having problems. New batteries don't help it keep accurate time anymore. The clock mechanism is covered behind the clock but that doesn't mean bugs or dust can't get in there. I love the look and that I can see the temp and time. I will be buying this or a similar style again. 9 years is pretty great.

UPDATED: KEEP THE BOX FOR THE RETURN... JUNK, SAVE YOUR MONEY
I purchased this clock for the third time and just returned it. But I had to buy a box for the "free" return that cost me $6+. I should have known better, but....The second of this clock that I had purchased lasted two years before the large hand disconnected itself from the turning sprocket and stayed at the half hour point. There is no way to get into the clock to tighten the hand. But, no matter as it was all rusted in its guts, anyway. The first one lasted about six years before it too rusted out. The thermometer is window dressing as the clock hangs on a wall that gets sun all afternoon. I have no idea if the humidity gauge works or not.Even though there are so many bad reviews of this clock, we bought it again b/c it looks nice. We did not have any hopes about how long it would last, but we thought who knows. We read the reviews of virtually all of the out-of-doors clocks like this and they all seem to be made of junk with many complaints about clocks rusting out, hands disconnecting from the turning sprocket or getting stuck on the various gauges as they turn, paper on the clock face curling and separating from the backing, inaccurate time, etc. Nor does it seem to matter at what price point you are looking. at. The expensive ones seem to have the same hit-or-miss quality control problems as the lower price ones. One, an atomic clock, had numerous comments about it burning up when the battery was put in. Maybe someone makes an outdoor clock that is consistently long lasting. But, if so, I couldn't find one on Amazon. My guess is that "you pays your money, and you takes your chances..."So we stayed with the one that looks good on our wall. having no idea how long it would last. If another two years, we foolishly hoped, the cost would have been about $18/year. It is kind of like I am leasing it. But the first one only cost about $7/year.This one last only two weeks before the same problem that we had with the second one happened to this. The minute hand disconnected itself from the turning sprocket and fell to the bottom (on the '6") never to move again unless we turned the clock over (and then it would swing loosely to the "12"). So with the cost of the box for the "free" return, this one cost me $3/week. It worked fine for those two weeks.Save your money. Keep the shipping box until the end of the return window.

Great Clocks at an exceptional value.
I had one of these in Florida on the pool deck. However, it was hung under an overhang next to a slider. It lasted about 3 years. Periodically if we had a bad storm with wind, the water would get behind it and I'd have to replace the batter. The clock worked well for a long time considering the price. The faux slate looked realistic too.For this reason, when I moved to SC, I purchased 2 new ones that have now been running well for 2 years (one inside and the other outside). They have each fallen from the wall and I was able to glue the piece of "slate" back on and it is, as Timex watches used to say, "takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin'". Hope they are still around when I need to replace.

Easy to read
Looks good. Seems to keep time well. The face does fog up just a bit, still easy to read but it may shorten it's life with the moisture. We have it outside.

Well the clock seems to work
I have had a big problem finding a clock to put on my porch in Michigan. So I decided to pay more and get one that works. Well that just goes to show you that just because you pay more it will be better. Neither the Thermometer or Hygrometer ever worked. The clock seems to be ok but the construction is no better than the one I paid $8.00 for. The bottom line is that it is just a very cheep piece of junk. Still looking for a good outside unit.

Nice looking and easy to read
Just go this delivered about a week ago. Wanted something that I could keep outside on the back deck. I first installed it in direct sun near the hot tub and found that the temperature was not correct but figured that it was getting a false reading because of the direct sun. I moved it so that it wasn't in direct sun and it seems to be spot on for the temperature. Seems well built and if it last more than three years, I will be happy with the price I paid. I saw others that were two or three times more expensive and I think that is just too much for something that is going to be subjected to harsh mid west weather conditions.

Perfect for our porch
I looked at a lot of clocks before I chose this one for our screen room. First of all, I love the design. The faux slate looks like the real thing, but is very lightweight. The clock face is large enough to be read from across the room. The temperature and humidity gauges were a must-have for me because I'm a little bit of a weather geek. They seem to very accurate although they are a little small. We've had this clock for 6 months now. It keeps perfect time and is still on its original battery. I feel it's an exceptionally good value and if I could do over, I would still purchase this clock.
