Taste 1 star Overall product amazing! I tried it in a smoothie and could not get over the taste. I take 6 to 8oz of Ocean Spray 100% Cranberry juice or CranPinapple and mix the scoop in the juice. It tastes tolerable but I drink it quick. It has helped my blocked up intestines. My skin is also looking much smoother and better. I just bought another since it is still on sale.

I bought the Garden of Life Raw Organic Food Alkalizer & Detoxifier because I was looking for a clean, organic green powder to support digestion and detox. I love that it’s non-GMO, gluten-free, and packed with alkalizing greens and probiotics. While the lemon ginger scent is actually quite pleasant, I’m not going to lie—the taste is not. It has that classic “green powder” bitterness, so instead of mixing it with their recommended 8 oz of water, I use a small amount of water just enough to quickly get it down in one gulp. Then I follow it with a glass of warm water and a bit of honey, and that works really well for me. Despite only using 1/4 of the recommended scoop, I’ve already noticed I’m going to the bathroom more regularly and just feeling “lighter.” This means one jar is going to last me at least 4 months, which makes it an excellent value. Overall I’m really happy with the product and the benefits I’m experiencing.

My daughter made me buy this to try and improve my gut health. I just received it and my review is based upon first impressions. The container is smaller than I expected but it is packed and weighty, it feels as though there is alot of product. My first scoop I decided to add it to cold lemon water. I was a bit worried the powder wouldn’t mix well with a cold juice but it mixed up very well and it is not grainy despite its heavy green appearance. I drank it through a straw with no issues. It tastes lemony but I added it to lemon water so Im not 100% sure how strong the lemon flavor is. A hint of ginger which I really like. It doesn’t have a strong “green “ taste at all. Overall it tastes good and not grainy or too green, Im impressed. Health wise time will tell but we are off to a good start because I like the taste!

Update on 7/16/15: Okay, so I'm near the bottom of the can now. I've gotten so used to the taste, that I simply stir a scoop in a glass of water, or I add several scoops to a gallon jug of distilled water, and I drink it straight like that. I find that if I skip a day, I even start craving this green drink. When I started taking this, I was weaning myself off coffee (well, I quit "cold turkey"). I've noticed that my energy level has been very good...in fact it's higher now and I need less sleep than I did when I drank coffee. I have noticed that all the extra iron has given me darker stools and constipation as is typical of most iron supplements. You may want to watch out for that. Original review: Taste is so subjective. I read that some said it was too sweet, while others said it wasn't sweet at all or it tastes terrible. In my experience, there is a definite sweetness from the stevia, but it wasn't too sweet. As far as taste, there is no way that you can make grass taste like a strawberry smoothie. But for grass, the slight sweetness made it tolerable. It wasn't overly bitter or anything. I will update my review after I've finished the container.

I purchased Garden of Life Raw Organic Perfect Food Alkalizer & Detoxifier Juiced Greens Superfood Powder as a more nutritious addition to my daily regimen. I have tried other green products and this is by far is the best. I'm 67 and though I can't turn back time I want to be the best version of Me I can be. I throw a small banana, whole (peeled and seeded) orange, a few strawberries, vanilla, and stevia into my blender until smooth (sometimes adding organic plain yogurt) This is a terrific breakfast with a poached egg on plain, toasted Ezekiel Bread or lunch with a small salad. My mind is clearer and I have more energy. I will purchase again and give it 10/10
