I bought this to ignite the E motors in my mean machine rocket. Worked like a charm on E and D motors.

The launch controller key doesn't have a good way to tether it to the controller. I lost the launch key pretty shortly after using the controller a few times. Had to find something else to stick in the hole. Otherwise, I have never had any trouble with this controller. The cables are much longer and much beefier than they were when I flew rockets as a kid in the 90s.

This is very robust with heavy wires and four battery capacity - no misfires with this one!

Works as expected, but you do have to push on the key firmly. My six-year old daughter isn't able to keep it depressed to launch the rocket. That's not a big deal though and I see it as kind of a safety thing.

This is the biggest piece of junk you'll ever buy. Out of the box, it did not work. It did not complete the circuit internally. The parts you can try to adjust are sealed inside plastic so you have to break the device open to try to fix it. By break, I mean a knife and broken plastic. It will not snap back together. I could not remedy the faulty connection in my unit. The light never came on. The switch never triggered the igniter. I eventually used the unit as a battery holder and held the wires to the battery terminals. After that "use", I threw the unit away. Save your money. Teach your kid to solder to switches together for a 2-switch trigger (this is what you're buying). Your kid will get more out of it, you'll save a little money, and avoid enormous frustration.

If your controller doesn't work try trimming about 30% (and up to 50%) off the rubber stopper on the key. The key can then be inserted that much further to make its connection. I had to do this to what was an very dead controller and now works a treat.

This launch controller does not work at all will not reccomend buying it.No wonder the quality is so bad.

Broken from factory. Take the back cover off. Remove second cover. Remove screw. Remove plastic chunks blocking the metal strips from making contact with the key. Replace screw Replace cover Replace back cover. Works now Canon go boom.
