Does exactly what it said , glad i purchased , for my christmas garland that ate battery life like mad .. good value any easy to install , would recommend

I bought this for an older Hive thermostat that takes four AA batteries (the one with the rotary dial). It goes through batteries quite quickly. The supplied fake batteries fit perfectly and I carefully slotted the powered battery into the bottom. Plugged it in and it is working perfectly. I’ll see how long it lasts but for the moment it is as if I’d installed new batteries. Since I don’t move the unit around the delicate looking battery cable shouldn’t get damaged. Recommended!

I used it for my battery powered mirror with lights. The design of my mirror was poorly made as the battery was situated behind the middle panel hence difficult to get to the switch when put against the wall. I bought this plus an on-off switch (since my sockets are behind my dressing table) and now I can use my lights with ease and not worry about my batteries running out.

So easy to put into the existing battery packs of Xmas lights. Now I can put them on mains with timer!

This works perfectly to replace the three AA batteries in my daughter’s dressing table, saving us a fortune in batteries! The powered battery is connected via a ribbon cable, so even though the battery cover is screwed down, the cable doesn’t interfere, and it’s then coupled into a standard cable which goes to the plug. This package also came with three dummy batteries to bridge the gaps and complete the circuit. These are great value for money and we’ll never need to buy batteries for this thing again.

It works, for a bit. I understand why they made the cable so thin (to make it through the gap around battery compartment covers), but it’s just not resilient. Mine started being flakey after a few weeks, and has now completely broken. I would suggest an optional robust cable. When I’m replacing batteries with a mains supply it’s because I’m making installing something in a fixed location - I don’t mind making a hole in the battery compartment cover if needed.

I purchased this so that I wasn't continually replacing batteries on my Christmas lights. It works perfectly for about 5 hours and then turns itself off! I bought two from different suppliers and the other one doesn't do this so perhaps this one is faulty?

This unit ships with UK wall plug by default, with no other options for other wall outlets. The wall plug is replaceable, but it's a "clip-on" connector, not the "slide-on" and lock which is the standard here. The unit looks promising like it could have addressed my needs but never got to give it a shot.

They selling uk plugs for Australia... it's ridiculous. This product shouldn't be on Australia Amazon!
