It's still early days to give a longevity review but have no reason to expect it to fail. I don't do heavy construction as I am a DIYer. That said the saw performs as it should. I don't know what sheerness really means. Because of the cuts I needed to make without tear out I never used the the blade that came with it. That blade is what comes with almost all skill saws as it is cheap. It's for rough cutting lumber. I would be cutting some hardwood and cross cutting plywood strips. I ordered the blade with the miter saw to make sure of compatibility and am happy with the cuts. i find that with tools many bad reviews are because people do not know how to set up the tool properly. They often want to use it out of the box as is and expect miracles. The tool is only as good as the operator in many cases. I find the tool exceptional value for my use. The new blade added $40 to the cost but that's to be expected and needed if I wanted the kind of cuts my projects need. I will be making a miter saw table so I can more easily use stop blocks and add a longer fence with measuring tape on both ends to make my work easier. These things have to be done to any miter saw I think so not a detraction. I am happy with the saw and would buy again.

Will not recommend it to any professional millworker or carpenter. It may be ok if you cut 2x4s. Spend a bit more and buy CMT or Freud. First time I've tried to save a bit of money and will have to buy another blade.
