This sharpening rod works great and is very easy to use. It feels strong and good quality, and it sharpens my kitchen knives nicely, even the serrated ones. I like the length, and the handle is comfortable to hold. The hanging hole is a simple but helpful touch for storage. Overall, it does the job perfectly and keeps my knives in great shape.

It's not as long as the ones you use in restaurants if you have ever been a commercial cook. I didn't know how long those were, so I didn't notice that this one is a bit shorter than I'm used to that's why I gave it 4 stars, they might have mentioned that. "Shorter than the standard honing steel" would have been nice. But it's good , a good steel for the money you just have to adjust your stroke if you are used to the longer one. (that's what she said lol) Anyhow I'll keep it , does the job

Great product. I use it daily and will buy it again when it's time to get a new one. It really does sharpen the blade.

As a novice, I can only hope this will work.It came with no directions.So if you know everything, go for it!

It's is a good purchase, use it about once a week for my knifes. Especially during the holidays cutting my chicken, turkey or hams. Worth the money.
