My son was very pleased with this collapsible fishing rod for Christmas! He was impressed with the weight and quality of the reel, as well as the length of the rod once extended. It will fit nicely in his fishing bag retracted while exploring new spots on foot to catch fish. Its compact size is great for carrying anywhere and it looks like a regular pole fully extended. It's quite sturdy. We're both pleased with this purchase.

I received it as a gift, it quickly became my go to rod. It's easy to collapse and carry. It has great feel and response for setting hooks after bites. The folding handle is great for added compact design and easy to carry. Works great for Crappie and Bass. If the bail didn't sometimes spring too early when casting id score it a 5 for price and quality. That is my only gripe. Will recommend to not be too rough when collapsing because the tip is awful thin and could snap.

I’m a pretty novice angler, so all I was looking for was a rod that I could throw in my trunk without being worried about it breaking. This has surpassed all my expectations, it’s smooth, super easy to whip out and put away, and it makes it a quick and easy breeze to throw some bait on and cast during my lunch breaks! It was so handy I ended up buying a second one so my coworker could join me. Highly recommend for normal freshwater fishing use. (Most I’ve used on this is 12lb line and have had zero issue) UPDATE: after buying my 3rd rod (for more friends to use) I have discovered one singular issue with this rod: the nut that holds the reel handle on has a tendency to loosen over time, and in the time I’ve fished with these rods, the handle has fallen into the lake twice. (These were both 5 bucks a piece to replace- so this was not much of a problem) HOWEVER- if you are using this rod- make sure to occasionally check on the nut and give it a twist.

I am not a pro fisherman but I learned fishing with my Dad and I've caught plenty. As a rod and reel I this is a nice rod, it's got a good feel in the hand, it's closer to an ultra light but not quite ultra, like micro sub 6 foot pole with 1oz weight casting limit The reason I chose it is obviously the telescoping abity and this is absolutely an amazing marvel of technology, I feel blessed to have it really. It's simple, seems like it would last if taken care of and cleaned, and putting it together and back was quick and kinda mesmerizing. It gets so small it's like a wand, a foot long stick, and the reel of course, which I kept both of their boxes. If their is a caveat, maybe the rings seem susceptible to damage if the rod sack is not kept safe or in the box.

These were sturdy and functional. They aren’t the best poles in the world, but they’re pretty good for the price. They also come with some starter bait and line. Got these for a camping trip with my boys and they had a great time using them.

The first guide is too close to the reel, this casting and retrieving is a little temperamental. Overall, this is a convenient and well well made device. We took this on the plane three times and it worked well each time.

It is not good for serious and professional fishers. It is designed for river and leisure fishing. The plastic thread is very weak.
