I chose this brand of bamboo silica because bamboo contains the bioavailable form of silica and the amount is standardized to 70%. Silica is important for the production of keratin and collagen. It is also important for removing aluminum from the body. I'm taking this supplement to optimize bone density and connective tissue integrity but I am noticing unexpected benefits in my skin. My skin was not bad before but it is now glowing, especially where I use skincare actives. The effects of vitamin C, tretinoin, and acids plateau once you max out their benefits. I already hit the ceiling in my skincare routine but the silica has raised it so I'm seeing further improvement. My skin is also more resilient to irritation and dryness. I am now able to put actives on my eyelids and neck with zero irritation and see the benefits. I think the rate my hair sheds decreased based on how much comes out in the shower but I'm not sure because it wasn't a problem in the first place. It will take months for me to know if my hair is staying in the growth phase longer but it's believable.

I've been taking collagen (multiple types) along with Biotin and Vit C for several months. Apart from my skin below the neck feeling less dry in the winter months, I haven't noticed a remarkable difference. A dermatologist recommended bamboo silica. I added Now Bamboo Silica about 3 weeks ago. Tonight I noticed new hair growth on both sides of my scalp near the hair line. My hair is quite long, but fine and thinner with age. Those two receding areas on either side of a middle part has been nearly bald for as long as I can remember. I've had to avoid certain hair styles as a result of those two bare areas. Collagen, unfortunately, has never made a significant difference. Now Bamboo Silica is apparently exactly what I needed. I'm literally astounded to see those bare areas filling out! Right now, with the hair being new growth, it sticks straight up. It is not fine like baby hair, rather, the normal texture of the rest of my hair. Amazing! As for skin improvement, I haven't yet noticed any changes. However, I feel that the facial skin requires time and consistency. Nails, well, I keep mine cut on the short side so it's hard to determine changes. I will continue this product if only for improving my fine, thin, limp hair. I can recommend this product to any mature women out there struggling with age related hair thinning.

I love this company and it’s bamboo silica so it’s coming from a great source and it’s supposed to help with collagen production, which sounds so great since I am two years away from 30. I’m starting to notice some skin changes and hoping this changes it all

I purchased this for my hair and skin. This is my first month using it so I haven’t seen a change yet but I but I hear this product is very good for hair and skin. I can give you an update later but so far I do know these capsules are very easy to swallow and the price is very good.

Hey everyone, so usually I don’t write reviews but I have to share my excitement with everyone! And no I’m not paid to write this at all. I’ll give a brief context: about 5 years ago I started taking quite a few different supplements for my health along with Silica and biotin. As a result of taking the Silica Now supplement (however back then it was the horsetail one) my hair grew the longest/ thickest and shiniest it’s ever grew in my whole life! I honestly never new it was possible to have hair like that… Fast forward a few years, life changed and I stopped taking the silica and took a big break from many supplements. Slowly over the last few years my hair has started thinning and returning to like it used to (dull, thin and breaks easily) I wasn’t sure if it was the silica or another supplement I was taking back then, like the Chinese herbs or blood nourishing herbs (good for hair). However, I just started taking this bamboo silica supplement again 5 days ago. And I kid you not, my hair is already looking thicker and more luscious, and it does this lovely wavy thing at the ends like it used to when my hair became thicker 5 years ago! This is only 5 days in and I’m so happy I found out it was the silica that made the difference! Ps I have also been taking Biotin along with silica for the last 5 days so it could be the combination of both! It 100% works with hair growth and thickness!

I check the expiry date and its well over a year and a half till expiration.
