Sheer natural looking blush
As I age, I an finding my skin getting dryer and duller looking. I used to like the look of matte foundations but now find they accentuate fine wrinkles. So I've updated my skin care products to more hydrating serums and moisturizers, and am using foundations that double as skin care products. In addition I was finding that my matte powder blushes were starting to look dry on my face a few hours after application. Even highlighter and slightly shimmery blushes looked dry. So I decided to try some creamy and liquid blushes to layer on over my serum and hydrating foundations. These little Maybelline Cheek Heat sheer gel-cream blushes are those I have found to be the most satisfying. I apply them using a sponge, dabbing on gently to retain the sheer, very slightly glossy (but not shiny or shimmery) color. They can be layered for more intense color if desired. They come in several flattering shades. Even tho they are a lower-end product as far as price goes, I find them to compare favorably to brands such as Armani, Dior, YSL etc. The quality excels. The colors stay sheer and completely natural looking with a fresh, hydrated finish. The product does not settle in fine wrinkles. An application done in the morning stays looking just as fresh well into the evening until removal. Price point is a real draw- a great quality and value for the money. My skin has responded to my new regimen of skin care and makeup and I now look refreshed and hydrated all day. Cheek Heat blushes are highly recommended.

Found my favorite blush!
Finally a cream blush (I never wear powder) that looks great on me without a heavy price tag! My skin is mature and fair/light. “Pink Scorch” is the perfect color. Not too pigmented so it goes on sheer with a natural finish that makes my cheeks glow in a healthy way. It’s very compatible to Glossier’s “Wisp”, but Maybelline is a lot friendlier on my wallet!

Moist glow, color lasts
Updated review: I added an extra star because after wearing it for a while the color did stay on all day. I like more dimension in color and I’m use to a multi colored blush palate verses one solid shade. So, my results improved after trying it again using my new bronzing cream first, then this blush gel, followed by a touch of my pink powdered blush. So basically I had to tweak my application and the color a bit to get the results I like. Original review: The coral ember is a bit more tawny than expected, I tend to like brighter. . Hard to squeeze out of tube and if used daily will run out fast since tube is small. Spreads very well using a small amount. It is creamy and kinda translucent and does not look dry or cling to facial lines. Probably good for a ‘no make up look’, over a tan or someone who wants a natural looking hint of color. I mistakenly thought this was like the old school gel blush which had a stronger color tint and was a true gel with no creaminess. I tend to like more contrast and brighter cheek definition with my coloring. If this isn’t enough, I’ll use it on no makeup days so I don’t look too washed out. It does have a nice understated shimmer and feels weightless on my face.

Love the stuff, but WHERE'S THE BEEF?
Seriously now. First off, my review of the actual product is 5 stars! You can refer to all of the other good reviews because it is a wonderful blush, easily built, great texture, long lasting, lovely color (Berry Flame is perfect for me!). I put it on with a brush yesterday and it was still there today, altho' slightly more pale, when I got up. Now to the BEEF. When I went to test it out yesterday it took my fingers what felt like a million seconds to reach the product in the tube! Just when I thought I had been sent a bogus tube with nothing in it, at the point, about the one third point, where the tube is collapsed all the way up and the structure of the top is starting to make it harder to squeeze (y'all know that point!), I finally got the little strip of colour to come out on the back of my hand and "EUREKA!!! WE HAD STUCK GOLD!!!", and GOLD it was! Not gold color but wonderful blush color that was perfectly suited to my skin tone. I had definitely chosen the right one and I am extremely excited about the product.... just wish there was more of it in the tube. MAYBELLINE!!! ARE YOU LISTENING??? (Oh, Maybelline... why won't you be true?")... ;^)

Looks natural & fresh, lasts all day! *UPDATED*
I LOOOOOOVVVVEEEE this cream blush!! I love the look of freshly applied cream blush but find that a lot of the ones that look the best in the morning don’t hang in there until the end of the day. This lasts all day with just the teensiest bit of setting powder on top. I purchased this in the nude shade but definitely want to try others. It is not detectable on your skin but still makes you look fresh & your skin look more awake. I so hope this is not quickly discontinued because I have not loved a product this much in a long time!!! UPDATE: I have now purchased all shades but the coolest light pink shade & have strong opinions on the other shades. 15 Nude Burn-the original shade I purchased and the one in the photo is still a favorite alongside 35 Berry Flame. Berry Flame is extremely flattering. A little goes a very long way. Berry Flame actually leaves a stain behind (warning-even on your fingers if you use them to apply!) and lasts all day & then some! This is where my positive review ends. 30 Coral Ember is the worst of all. Absolute junk-no color payoff, seems watery, I wouldn’t even give this to my ten year old as starter makeup-terrible, terrible color. 20 Rose Vibrant & 25 Fuchsia Spark are just okay for me. I will not purchase them again but they are better than Coral Ember by a mile. I am updating this only because I have seen numerous reviews from beauty youtubers tearing these apart & I agree-to a point-because the shades are so hit or miss, but do not let those bad reviews cause you to miss out on Nude Burn or Berry Flame!

Love it
Just reordered. I use this every day to add a little color. Love it! Will always be in my rotation. Awesome product in general but especially for the price.

The best gel blush, bad shade
I love this formula and have been using this blush in the shade Pink Scorch for a couple of years. I prefer it to my Rare Beauty blush for sure. Maybelline Cheek Heat Gel-Cream Blush blurs my pores, lasts for 8 hours and looks amazing, especially in my favourite shade. I decided to give other shades a try and ordered a new tube of this blush in the shade Rose flush which turned out to be very Teracota-y I would even say orangy. The color of the product itself looks nothing like the color of the tube and Rose flush does not look good on my cool tone complexion. Unfortunately it was a waste of money for me, but I will be repurchasing this blush in the shade Pink scorch over and over again.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Beautiful, Natural Look but Fades Quickly
This is my second time purchasing the Maybelline Cheek Heat Gel Cream because I love the fresh, natural glow it gives. The texture is lightweight and blends effortlessly, making it easy to build up for more color or keep sheer for a subtle flush. It’s perfect for a quick, everyday makeup look. The only downside is that it doesn’t last very long on my skin—I usually need to reapply after a few hours to maintain the color. Even so, I keep coming back to it because the finish is so flattering and easy to work with. A great option if you don’t mind reapplying for all-day wear.
