Nice Color
I absolutely love this semi‑permanent hair color! The shade turned out vibrant and true to the picture, giving my hair a beautiful, glossy finish. It was super easy to apply, and the color blended nicely without any harsh lines. My hair feels soft and healthy — no dryness or damage as I’ve had with some other dyes. I’m so impressed with how long the color lasts and how it fades evenly over time. It’s perfect for anyone looking to refresh their look without a long‑term commitment. Highly recommend — I’ll definitely be buying again!

Super happy!
I am super happy with this semi-permanent hair color. My goal is to grow out my gray underneath the semi permanent color so that I can one day wash out the color completely and see what’s going on there and then either have fun with semi permanent color or if I’m lazy or too old to care just let it go. I’m sorry about not posting a picture, but I’d rather not have my images on Amazon. Out of laziness I have been coloring my hair dark golden blonde with permanent color just so that the gray regrowth is less noticeable and I don’t have to color it the second it comes in. It’s been okay but I have felt a little washed out and I don’t like that red thing that happens at the roots when you lift to a couple shades lighter than your natural color. I think I’ve found the answer with using a combination of Rich Walnut and Golden Chestnut of this hair color. I start by using Rich Walnut on about the first inch of hair growth from my scalp. I do all of my roots this way and then using a gloved hand I put some Rich Walnut hair color and work it into the full length of just the darkest part of my hair in the back, underneath the hair that shows from the top. I am very careful to not put the Rich walnut on the top hairs – I want to keep them lighter. Then I work the Golden Chestnut into the rest of my hair, sometimes mixing a little Rich Walnut into it before applying it. I just make sure I have my whole hair saturated with the Golden Chestnut before starting the clock. It comes out beautifully! The roots are darker but it looks rich and natural – it’s kind of like adding low lights I guess. This method avoids that weird red roots issue but still gives you the lightness on top, like you’ve had highlights done. The transition from the dark to light color is very natural too, not abrupt. These particular colors are warm colors so if your skin can’t take a warm color this probably won’t work well, but for me it’s perfect. I really couldn’t be happier. I haven’t gone through a whole color cycle yet time wise. I bathe more often but I wash my hair 2x per week. I wash my hair now in the sink in cold water (no way I’m taking a cold shower haha) with sulfate free shampoo and the color is holding well, fading as expected but at a nice slow pace. This is the first semi permanent hair color that has stayed in my hair for more than a couple of washes. I am very, very happy.

Did a Pretty Good Job but Not the Color for Me
I was recommended to use a product like this to cover my greys. I have naturally dark brown hair, and I haven't colored in long enough-- and my hair is short enough-- that I had virgin hair. My hair definitely has less than 10% grey, but man are those greys shiny! They do stand out wherever they appear. I had thought about color depositing shampoo but figured I would try this first as a longer-term solution. I don't have anything against permanent color but am admittedly lazy about it. (I have two boxes of permanent color sitting in my bathroom that have been there for months.) I found this product really easy to use, and it is great that there is no mixing. It does smell a bit like typical hair dye but not really badly. I used less than half a bottle for my chin-length hair, so because there is no developer, I kept the bottle to use again in the future, making the cost for a bottle a good deal for me. My greys have been stubborn to take dye before, but I figured I would try the recommended 25 minutes to see what happened. The color took to the greys near the front of my head pretty solidly, but the ones in the back looked spotty. Honestly, that may have been application error, as I was very careful when working around my face but less so in the back. Therefore I suspect that if I did this again but was more careful in application, 25 minutes would probably be sufficient. However, for my hair color, making the greys sort of a golden blonde (which is what was recommended to me based on my natural hair color) didn't really have the intended effect. My greys are simply too sparse for it to come across like highlights, and the color is still so fair compared to my natural hair color that they stand out and don't look a heck of a lot different than they did when they were just grey unless you are looking carefully. I probably would have done better with a darker, warmer color, but honestly, I think I'm just going to use John Frieda Brilliant Brunette Color Glaze first to see how that goes. If that doesn't work for me, I'm going to try this semi-permanent color in a darker shade.

I have been using hair colour for awhile (3rd bottle) and I highly recommend it. Great coverage and it covers the grey hair really well. The best product I have ever used for grey coverage.

Instructions difficult to read, no gloves supplied, did not do a good job covering grey hair

Es cierto que se cae súper rápido el color pero este tono es perfecto para las de cabello castaños oscuros naturales. No maltrata y no huele mal.

More of a cherry red, not really brown at all

I'm very allergic/sensitive to harsh chemicals and thought I'd try this as it doesn't contain ammonia or peroxide. The patch test went well, so I went ahead, and am very pleased with the result. It was very easy to use, the dye is thick and doesn't drip at all. The little bit that got on my skin was easily washed off. Despite the thickness of the dye, it was easy to rinse off after the required 25 minutes. The dye takes a while to fade (it's been 5 shampoos since and hardly any fading). However, as my hair grows fast, the white roots appear after 2 weeks. I reapply the dye to just the roots, not a problem. Overall, I'm very happy to have found this product and I hope it never goes out of production.
