Vetoquinol Ear Cleansing Solution for Dogs and Cats - 4oz

I have pugs, and due to their ears flopping over, they are always prone to ear infections after swimming, bathes, or just every day. When one flairs up, I drop this into their ears, rub their ears plop them down and they shake off the extra. I can clear up an ear infection in 3-5 days if I use this 2 times a day. It's saved me SOOOO much in vet bills. The smell is "clinical", but not offensive, so i don't mind it when I sleep with my dogs and the smell dissipates easily by morning. Now, anytime they play in water, or get a bath, i squirt some of this into each ear, and it works amazingly well at preventing any ear problems. This is also so much cheaper than buying something similar at the vets office. Two paws up!

I use this ear cleanser regularly on my two dogs. Basically after every bath. It does really well to cleanse the ear, dry up any water in the canal, and deodorize the ear from bacteria that could cause an oder or infection. I feel that regular use of this cleanser reduces trips to the vet for ear problems or infections, which my dogs never have.

safe for daily use Why did you pick this product vs others?: i have a golden doodle who is a daily pool swimmer and prone to ear infections. she also rolls in anything nasty she can find and i frequently find mud in her ears. she has been to the vet multiple times for ear infections and i have spent so much money on antibiotics. i wanted a gentle ear cleaner safe for daily use and i have used this solution daily for at least two years now and she has had ZERO infections and it does not irritate or overdry her ears! best stuff ever and worth every penny! scent is clean and fresh and doesnt leave stains or residue on my couch or linens. highly recommend this product!

I've used this product since 2006 and love it. I love the smell but also the product. I have a now 12 year old cat whom I've used this cleaner on since he was 5w old as he has very bad allergies that cause him to produce large amounts of ear wax during all season changes. I tend to clean his ears every other week to weekly solely depending on how much wax he has in his ears. Well about a week ago I went to clean his ears on Sunday morning and of course completely ran out of this cleaner so I had my husband go to Petco and told him if they have this get it if not get the closest thing to it so he did and he comes home with a Petco brand product and we clean our cats ears lets just say it was HORRIBLE! Jim (our cat) was so uncomfortable, itchy times a billion, restless, meowing, itching his ears till they bleed, it was HORRIBLE. I immediately hopped on Amazon and ordered another bottle of this cleaner. I cleaned Jims ears last night and he's perfectly fine today. No excessive itching, no crying, no reslessness. I will NEVER let the bottle go below 3/4 with out ordering a new bottle again. Best product ever, I love that it cleans, deodorizes and dries and doesnt just sit in the ear.

OK, so the new puppy brought us the joys of Ear mites, which I'd never seen before. I tried various things, until I figured out what the problem was. Once we knew, we applied the Vaseline daily, after cleaning out the ears, for 3 weeks. Cleaning the ears was the main issue early on. Dogs hated the wiping out of their ears, & I was terrified of hurting them with Q-tips, so I found this ear wash. I chose this one based on the bottle top, which allows me to aim directly where I want it, & not drown the dogs in ear cleanser every day. I have no other to compare to, but getting this top worked out well. I can hold the dog's ear, aim directly where I want it to go, & rub it in quickly, before the Head shaking begins. TIP: I did it in my shower every day. The inevitable spills, & head shaking splatter are easily cleaned next time I shower, & I can be sure whatever comes out, doesn't infect the rugs etc around the house. The dogs Hated it (as would anyone getting squirted in their ears with cold liquid), but I saw a pretty immediate improvement in the amount of gunk coming out. Their ears were kinda greasy feeling, but presumably that's from washing out Vaseline, along with the Mites. It went away with baths, but came right back the next day, with the next round of ear washing. Ear Mites Treatment: Daily: Ear wash first thing, followed soon after with wiping the ears with a soft wet wipe, then applying Vaseline to kill the mites. (Squish it right down into the ear canal & massage it around). Weekly: Wash all bedding, toys, & towels on Sanitizing wash. Vacuum all floors, & give the dogs a bath. Wash human laundry on Sanitize, also. Keep that up for a minimum of 3 weeks, as Mites lay eggs, which take 21 days to hatch, so even if the Mites are gone immediately, the eggs may still be in there, waiting to hatch. Watch closely for scratching after finishing up. Good luck, I'm just now ending my 3 + weeks. The scratching seems to have abated, and the ears look good again. Fingers crossed.

Works great

I bought this a while ago, and we still have a decent amount left. It’s lasted us several months. It cleans my dogs ears thoroughly and although she doesn’t love the process, it doesn’t irritate her ears, she doesn’t even rub them on the ground like she does when she gets water in them. And I don’t mind the smell, it’s far better than the smell of a dirty dog ear. I’ll definitely be buying this again. (My dog is a mini golden doodle)

Found a stray dog and kept her, noticed her ears were dirty and awful, she seemed bothered by it. Got this stuff and gave it a try- within minutes I could visibly see a difference. Same with a cat that we found with ear mites. Brought this outside and cleaned her ears. Took a few times because of how bad it was but there was a noticeable difference in minutes just the same. A few days later and its like nothing was there. FANTASTIC stuff. It's not stinky or anything, has a clean smell. The only reaction the animals had to it was it going in their ear. They weren't bothered by the smell or anything. It's like it was just water to them.

Worked as described

This was just grrrrreat. Arrived sooner than expected ...bonus. Have a pooch(Pitty mix w ears)w cauliflower ear and it's impossible to clear. Prior to cauliflower ear cleaning was fun. This solution worked like magic. Honest to blog .....highly recommend . Now that I've used it ...I'm gonna use it on ALL our other dogs/cats (2 cats,2 dogs and 3 inlaw dogs). I am so excited to use this.

Having been using this product for many years, so far so good. I like the smell of it.
