ZON White Personal Air Purifier (HZABWS)

I would give this product zero stars if I could. I purchased two of these air purifiers at the same time back in June thinking it would be great for my kids instead of a fan in their room to blow the dust around. Last month the first one started making an ungodly noise in the middle of the night like the motor was dying. I cleaned the filter (which was not easy) and all the parts and the thing never worked again. Of course the seller would not accept a return. I assume its because if they did they would be losing money on this product. Just last night the second air purifier started making the same god awful noise and the motor is dead. I expect the seller will once again deny the return and tell me to contact the manufacturer. This product is way too expensive to die within 4 months of purchase. Its a huge waste of money and the filter is really difficult to clean and super expensive to replace. Save your money, don't buy this product, have your furnace and ducts in your house cleaned with the money....or throw $200 out your car window at a homeless person. You will drive away feeling much better than you would about this purchase.Here is an update to my Zon air purifier experience, and that is do not buy any Humanscale products. After my Zon stopped working I tried to register the product because naturally the seller would not accept returns, they are probably well aware how bad this product is, and Humanscale would not let me register the product. I did a live conversation with a customer service specialist who clearly doesn't know customer ervice and basically told me that I was SOL. Do not buy Humanscale products, they do not stand behind their product and their products (at least Zon) suck.

This product works well and does what it's supposed to do. I'm giving it only 2 stars because I'm mad. I bought one in 2011 and paid $254.15 because according to all the reviews at that time this personal air cleaner was the best. Now it's for sale at $39.95? What gives? Grrrrrrrrrrrrr. That's just not right.

Much larger then I expected. IMO this is really a stupid design. Instead of using one large fan which would have been much quieter it uses (4) 6" fans arranged in a square. This provides decent air flow at the sacrifice of the added noise. The carbon filters are very thin and I wouldn't want to even begin to price replacements.Overall this was a bad purchase and a waste of $45.

This is the best personal desktop air purifier I have ever tried. I own two. It creates your own personal "sweet" air zone.

This thing stinks - like literally, it smells sooooo bad. Would not recommend

I like this product very much. I got one for each of my children's rooms and wish I had gotten one for mine. It does a decent job of cleaning the air.

I cannot tell you how much I love this thing. I have been using one for about a year now, and I am buying more as they seem to be hard to find. It diffuses the air and does not create a "wind stream," so I can have it on the stand next to my bed without air blowing on me. Not only has it helped with my sinus and allergies, but it also makes the world's best sound machine. I live in a condo in a big city with lots of street noise, plus I have noisy neighbors. I've gone through numerous "white noise" and other sound machines and either the noise was irritating or it simply didn't mask the sounds that were disturbing me. This thing works like a charm. The hum is steady and I can adjust it lower or higher. I don't care how loud my neighbors are (and they don't care either, unfortunately), I just put this on high. It's never super noisy, it's just a nice hum.You can put it as low as you want and then it is almost silent.It is a little tricky to open and close the first time -- you have to make sure everything is lined up properly. The unit will not work at all unless everything is lined up and closed properly. Be sure to look at the instructions. Once you understand that, it's easy. I've washed the washable filter several times, and the other one I just vacuum. I have not had to replace any part.I also like that there are no open vents on this. I have long hair, and every other fan-operated item I own winds up with hair wrapped around it. Not this unit.I'm buying two more as I am afraid I will not be able to find them in the future and nothing lasts forever.

I was given three of these by a relative as a gift. My grandson who often stays with me has allergies and I must say they have made a big difference. They're placed in various sized rooms and do a good job of cleaning the air I believe. I like them a lot.
